I think this was his comeback song. He hadn’t released a song/album for 7-8 years. I still remember this debuting on 106 & Park. I instantly fell in love with it. Such a beautiful song.

Damn, why Maxwell isn't a ultra, mega, superstar is beyond me! Dude kinda reminds me of Sade in that they pop up randomly every few years, drop a megabomb of a album, then completely disappear. I literally know nothing about Maxwell other than the music he's made. Outstanding talent whom I can only wish has more in store for us at some point. 👍

This entire album is great. I have four of his albums (Urban Hang Suite, MTV Unplugged, Embrya, and Blacksummersnight). They get better and better. Saw him live in 2010. Great live performer, so any live performance is worthy of a reaction. "Embrya" is best heard all together because the songs run into each other.
