I absolutely love my Nitto's. I have them on my KRX and do not feel much if any difference in the ride comfort. These things dig in the mud and run up trails. I can walk right up rocks with no slippage even when wet. Im thoroughly impressed with them.
Great review but from the outside view look in to me the nittos seemed more predictable and carried their traction through vs the zillas would kinda slip then hook and then slip and hook. I also think the narrower profile of the nittos puts a little more ground pressure than the zillas so that’s why they tend to hook and stay hooked. Great test but the nittos imo are the winners. Great test and thanks for doing it
I agreed at first impressions with the tires but in the long run the zillas do better for us and 5 other people that tried them. When I went back to zillas I realized the stiffness of the nittos really hurt the performance and the tires at even 3psi tended to to slip more then zillas at 8 psi.
Lateral traction is something iv never seen mentioned. So the nittos try to stay on line better rather than push? Very interesting take. I feel like they’re both grest tires
Yes, the nittos tend not to slide from side to side like on the very first obstacle in the video, zillas tend to slide along the rock before they will climb up it with nittos they are unlikely to slide in that instance so it’s easier to hold a line
How many miles did you put on the Nittos prior to switching back to Zillas? I’m in Arizona and have never been able to justify Zillas due tread wear and hearing complaints about how they handle at speed. Curious if the Nittos last longer?
I put about 200 miles on them and I’d say the tread wear is better then zillas. They are a little harder and corner better. If you want high speed and a good rock tire like kings of hammers type of racing nittos would be a contender for me
Both have stock mufflers but I have the evo shocker. It’s just a electric dump for the exhaust for loud straight pipe then hit the switch and it’s quiet as new
@@SKINNYPEDALADDICTS lol. I found your machine video sometime after that. Like the videos. Just came across the channel! Liked the advice on the new smart lok 2022 and up.
big daddy is a diffrent animal wet. I have a video of myself crawling it over rocktoberfest. my spedometer read 0 mph the whole way up. but it was dry. 35 stickies
Little more ground clearance and I personally like the look of the bigger tires. I think it’s easier going up ledges with the bigger tires also. Part failures depends on the driver really.
The mud zilla sucks in the mud as-well but I think the Roxxzilla will get you through your average mud hole on a trail. So we got both tires full of mud to have a fair comparison of the more east coast trails since there is more mud out that way.
I tried removing my rear sway bar, (front is removed) but I dnt have limiter straps , do they help , mine was very tippy feeling, I will be getting fronts forsure tho
@@ramonruybal9808 I put one on my RZR last year and absolutely love it. Keeps the front end from coming up when your climbing ledges and rock obstacles
Was like 4 lbs heavier for the nittos. But the nittos felt like dead weight and the zillas felt lighter on a wheel. It was strange. Both sets of tires were on the same wheel in this weight comparison.
