I'm going to be honest with you, I do not journal daily 😅I have a full time job so this is purely a hobby for me (both youtube and journaling). I carve out time a few days a week to spend time journaling. Before I go to bed, I quickly type out a summary of my day on an app called DayOne so I don't forget what happened. Some pages only take 10-15 minutes - these are the ones that are just pictures and text. Some pages take 45 minutes - 1 hour - these are the ones with watercolor / drawings. I also don't finish a page all in one sitting a lot of the time. I'll keep adding things as I see fit :) It's probably why I have a hard time with doing "Journal with me" videos.
Omg! Thank you so much for the comprehensive response, Joy! I totally was not expecting that, though I did expect to hear that you take a good amount of time in your journaling! I think the amount of care you put into it really shows, and in my opinion that makes your videos that much more fun to watch! This was my first year purchasing a Hobonichi Techo, and to be honest, I suck at it lol! I've only inked in one spread, and lightly penciled in about 10 more pages out of the year (yikes!). But I have been using the Weekly Calendar though (the little green one, not the Weeks), and that actually has worked really well for me. The only thing I wished they had are monthly calendar pages in the little green Weekly Calendar, that would seriously make my Hobonichi dreams come true! Oh and btw, I watched Janelle's videos and she's a natural with beautiful handwriting lol! Anyways, I'm rambling at this point!!! Sending you lots of love from Texas!

I would smoosh your hobo under something heavy when you're not using it, like maybe your mattress? I put mine under a stack of heavy text books but it's only an A6. Obviously it will still have bulk from the stuff you put in it, but it does help flatten the pages!
