Two important points: -During, prior and post WW2 the Japenese were equally racist toward white people if not worse. To only talk about one side of the problem is knowingly disingenuous at this point in history. -Current hate crimes toward Asian Americans is disproportionately being caused by the black community, but of course the media and academic institutions won’t touch this problem with a sliver of honesty. On a side note, I’ve never understood how dodging the truth is suppose to be “social justice”. Ignoring the reality for what it is will ultimately prolong the bigger issues and cause more suffering to the people you “supposedly” care about
@@annettemarie2076 you’re getting upset over semantics, the statistics don’t say “black individuals” or “white individuals” when they report crime demographics. Does that make the studies racist too? Your comment is a racial red herring, don’t be ignorant. For your Japenese question, I was speaking about the Japenese in Japan at the time. Fair point of clarification, and it would be interesting how Japenese Americans felt about White Americans at the time because I’m sure their was some level of discrimination going the other way. We have seen that recently after Trump labeled Covid as the “Chinese Virus”
