May 24th was amazing, and then May 25th happened in the same spot, we used the same roads and saw an absolute DEMON SUPERCELL south of San Jon, New Mexico after dark.
What you don't see is me getting stuck in the mud all while that monster is looming in the dark. Luckily for us, it was only moving about 5 miles an hour and an amazingly kind storm chaser pulled me out. Hope you enjoy this very flashy video!

@MikeOlbinski I thought I was recording on the Insta360. I wasn't. All I got was some cell phone stills. Your video is the next best thing to operating my own gear correctly. Lol

This storm was definitely a highlight of my season last year, I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Yeah man. I had my tripod yeeted to the ground a few times from the inflow shooting into the storm. I had to sit there and manually hold it and my camera to the ground to get my time lapse of it. I’ll never forget that night.

@@CeltonHendersonyeah dude haha, not only did I have two cameras fall into some mud, but one of them did it a second time too lol! Took me like two hours until 3am to get them all cleaned up.

Thanks so much! I was mostly mad at myself (STILL) from that night because of getting stuck, cameras falling, focus not being the best...I had the storm of the season almost and coulda done so much better lol

This was my favorite storm from Vorticity 5. At 4 min it is really impressive!

That was ridiculous. I'd love to see a lapse of just this storm from start to finish with no cuts now that you've revealed in it Vorticity 5. I bet it would be quite lit. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes. The only time I've ever been in a light show like that was back in 2017 when a microburst came right at my house at 3AM. It was like Mother Nature's Disco.

Wow. I love it when the lightning is inside the cloud and it all lights up that beautiful water/teal color. But the whole thing is impressive. Good hunting.
