Finally-someone who felt the same way I did about The Ministry of Time. I’d also give it two stars. I agree about the lack of character development and depth. I think the author was trying to do too much and it all fell flat for me. I was so excited about this book, but the more I think back on it, the less I like it.

I have not been drawn to Shy even though I love Max Porter. If you read Lanny, I highly suggest listening to the audio while reading the hard copy! The narration if fantastic but the book has some interesting visual elements that match the narration. It's quite the experience!

For those who think they’d like Ministry of Time but are scared of being disappointed, I highly recommend Time and Again by Jack Finney. I read it nearly 20 years ago, and I still think about it. It’s definitely due for a reread.

I didn’t care for Evelyn Hardcastle but I was intrigued by the plot and the writing. Too many characters, the length and the ending were not able to balance it out for me. I wonder if I will care more for The Last Murder at the End of the World. I have put the serial killer one on my TBR.

I think The Last Murder is more manageable. Will be curious what you think!
