No lies, no blaming, no self-congratulate. Praised and appreciated the people. Sought unity and resilience that we are in this together. No government is perfect but SG surely has a great one.

Nice, impactful communication . Thank you PM. SG GOV has increased testing in the Dormitories...this message will go a long way in re-assuring this community and also to remove anxieties. The Govt also roped in some celebrities from India to address them.
A highly civilized message from a highly civilized country facing a dibilitating challenge. Leaders in other countries around the world have much to learn from this speech on how to handle an imported crisis in a very civilized way ! Singapore government can handle it relatively well because it had prepared for rainy days from their very first days in office ! When opportunities to govern are not squandered on the pursuit of elite vanities, the outcomes speak for themselves !
This Labour Day Message 2020 by PM. The Challenges ahead for the Singapore Economy - Expect a Tsunami Hit Economy. Battered & Bruised Badly. Courage , Determination, Strength, Vigor , Sacrifices and Unity is Crucial Key for Singapore's Survival from the " COVID19 TSUNAMI" !
ever since wfh workers have been working overtime because boss call during lunch, dinner, sleeping and weekend time but cannot claim overtime so more workers are fedup
In the fight against COVID-19, Hong Kong's Carrie Lam and Taiwan's Tsai Ying-wen have done way, way better. PM Lee has glossed over the fact that we are heading towards 20,000 cases and 30,000 cases are within reach. He's encouraging people to think that the spread of the disease amongst foreign workers is not a serious problem.
Chin Beng Liew HK & TW have “done better” (so far) bcos they have chosen what seems to be the simplest, cheapest yet most effective policy of mask use right from the start. Both had easier start due to prior civic unrest (riots) and prevalent scooter culture respectively. TW has enough manufacturing facilities too. You could easily google/wikipedia on it, there are more details on it btw. Closing border is next. SG resort to focus on WHO standard guidelines of control measures - test, isolate/quarantine, trace & treat - likely has a logistics (/manufacturing) limitation and so masking up policy started light and enforced later once reusuable is available. As for Indian/bangladeshi dorm matter : #1 epicenter of spread was mustafa center, #2 culture of not maintaining hygiene/discipline/tidiness (clothings hung disorderly, dorm operators not performing up to standard), difficulty of distancing due to work nature (working closely, perspiration), education & fear (many do not report on their minor symptoms). It’s also NOT about dorm conditions. Check out the pics! they are similar to military/saf bunks. Yet was there any outbreak in saf camps? i’ve lived decades ago in bunks much worse than the current workers’ dorm.
ignorant. get your facts right. HK people were the ones threatening carrie lam to close all borders with china. it was also the HK people who put on mask and made DIY masks. carrie decline closing borders. carrie did not even encourage the mask use too.
