I do the same thing! I don't subscribe to that many beauty vloggers, but the ones I do watch, I always wonder why none of their "favorites" ever make a re-appearance. I love to know if you're still loving something! Also, definitely interested in the foundation videos. Please do that! I've also been on the hunt for the PERFECT coral, and it's so funny that you mentioned it at the end because the entire time I was listening to you, I was wondering what color was on your nails! I absolutely am going to Sephora this weekend to see if I can hunt that one down. I just love watching your videos! I check each Wednesday for them! I tell my girlfriends that you're like someone you'd see on the first day of school and think "I need her as a friend!" I also live in the DC metro, and somehow that makes it even more fun to watch your videos!
I think a lot of times gurus don't like to repeat favorites because they feel like talking about the same thing all the time isn't helpful/interesting. But it totally is! Ashley, if you're reading this--someone else I watch does Flashback Favorites where she watches back the favorites video she made the year before and does an update on whether she still uses/loves/owns the product.
Yay for returning favorites! Products that stand the test of time are always the best to see. And PLEASE do a top 10 natural products video! You always have the best recommendations, and I would love to see it!
I love seeing YTers still including older products in their favorites, because to me "favorites" covers the products you were loving, both new and old 🙂
Love this mix of new and returning favourites. Some months I try a horde of new things; some months I shop my stash. And I really love hearing about the items you return to time and time again - those are the true holy grail items!
I love watching your videos, you remind me of Catherine Bell(she's on one of my favorites shows, The Good Witch) you both are so enjoyable to the ears when you speak. Your looks remind me of my daughter she's 21 and absolutely loves makeup and she's red headed and adores cats. It's so nice to hear someone your age always speak about your mom family is so important these days and hopefully when my daughter gets your age she will still want time with me. I always tell her about your reviews.
Loving this video! I fell in love with One Love Organics Make up Remover. I totally want to try Plume lash thingy. I love the Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask. Can't wait for your review on comparing Gressa Serum foundation & Sappho foundation. I have the Sappho one in Mia but I haven't tried the Gressa. :)
New subscriber and wanted to say how wonderful your videos are! So professional, easy to watch, informative, pleasant, quality (I could keep going and going)! You are stunning and your voice is so soothing! New favorite channel!
Hi! I definitely really enjoyed this format. I don't mind seeing products again in favorites if you're still loving them! I'm dying to try the caviar volume mist since you've mentioned it. But I need to get through some other hair products first. I also love the pumpkin mask! It tingles but works and it smells so good!! I'd love to see a foundation week and maybe a video with a look using the new Becca x Jaclyn Hill products you picked up. Thanks and have a great day! :-)
loved this style of favorites video! seeing your returning favorites was a really nice spin :) you should definitely check out the new make up geek blushes that launched today! you mentioned the becca cheek palette, so I think you'd like some of MUG's new blushes a lot. they're super pigmented and they have a ton of flattering shades for fair skin. I recommend the shade XOXO, got that in my may boxycharm and it's a nice coral-pink, great for summer. hope you're having a great week!
I vote yes for foundation week! I am the exact same with the Gressa. I sample new foundations all the time and just nothing beats for redness and skin feel! Sometimes I do want a little heavier coverage or something with SPF, but it's by far my overall fave.
Love hearing that these are still favorites! I also often wonder what products have stood the test of time for people. I so want to try out the volume mist but I had just purchased an aveda product when you put out your video last month. I think it will be my next hair product purchase. Can't wait for the foundation videos. I'm currently on the hunt for a nice BB or CC cream for summer. I also tend to get oily, especially in warmer months, but I don't want to feel like I'm wearing foundation when it's 90° plus degrees and humid.
Yes Ashley, that foundation week sounds super cool I would love it as a mini-focus series! And please keep returning favourites around, I'm running low on the makeup removing cleansing balm I have been using from the body shop and I think I'm going to try the One Love Organics one, you gave it such a glowing review so many times!
Loved this video so much - it was definitely great to hear about products that are standing the test of time and that you are still loving. Seems like a great thing to add into monthly favorites videos every now and then :) I am all about foundation week - finding a foundation that works for me is my constant struggle. So many products either have too much or too littler coverage or they make me break out so I'd love to hear your opinions and recommendations. Also I'd love a video where you talk about summer make up - I'm getting married in July and even though I'll have someone doing my makeup the day of, I'll be doing my own makeup for all the other events. I'm nervous bc it'll most definitely be hot and humid (not DC humid but close) and I don't want to feel like my face is melting, ya know? You're awesome - thank you so much for your videos! You're definitely my favorite beauty youtuber!
I hardly ever comment on videos but have to say I've been following you for a few years now since Estee mentioned you, love your work and can't wait to see a foundation video week!
I always love watching your videos! (especially after a stressful day) They're very relaxing. I would love to know your opions on different foundations, also on different stationary. You always have the cutest, most organized stationary
I love the foundation idea, too! I finally bought a bottle of the Gressa and I really love it. I've been using it in specific areas over the Honest Beauty Tinted Moisturizer. And I wanted to mention Rosemira Skincare. It's a small company, but the products are natural and wonderful. My favorite product is the Rich Moisturizing Cleanser & NIght Cream, which I use as my evening moisturizer.
Really like this months setup of new and old favorites! I've been meaning to get the OLO cleanser for a while now. I think my dry skin would like it. Lately I've loved the Mahalo Indigo Balm that came in the April Beauty Heroes box as well as the Evan Healy hydrosols, they are so refreshing getting into summer! Also, some new dresses from Loft haven't hurt either ;)
Marc Jacobs lipsticks are so nice! They're one of my favorite formulas I own. I also love the Nails inc. Gel Effect polishes, I haven't tried the new Coconut Brights shades though.
Hi Ashley! That was a really nice video - I really liked the sit down, different background style :) I'm definitely going to try the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask - that looks like a cool product to try.
I really love your product recommendations. I've bought a few and I've always loved them! Most recently I bought the Lorac buildable blush you mentioned, and I love it SO much. I always look forward to Wednesdays because of you!
Loved this format! I also always wonder about previously mentioned products :) I added the volume mist to my wish list after your last mention of it and I'm way too excited to try it!
Hello there Ashley!! I really liked this video format!! I recently got the Hush + Dotti organic liquid foundation in "bare with me" and I've been recommending it to EVERYONE (lamouretlamusique, Laura's natural life), it's a water based foundation with lots of certified organic ingredients, non-toxic, natural and with really good lasting power. If you have a chance to get your hands on it before you film your foundation week videos, that'll be great!! The brand is really nice and has tons of products in its line. I love the idea of a foundation week!! I think that if you call it a "base" collection/review then you could include tinted moisturizers, bb, and cc creams as well as the powders you use to set them, if any. Or you could do a liquid foundation video, the a bb, cc, tinted moisturizers one, and then a powder base/foundation video all about the loose and pressed base powders for setting, retouching, or for coverage.
Also, if you haven't gotten your hands on the Sappho oval brush or the Artís oval 7, then you're really missing out on airbrush-like base application!! 😍
I have been loving the 14e sheer tint which appears to be similar to the hush + Dotti. Have you tried other products by that line? I had never heard of it.
Ok. Talk to me about the Sappho brush. Do you swirl or swipe? Does it take forever to blend with it?? I think I'll order it so I can apply the Sappho with the recommended brush (I already have the Gressa brush). : ))
+Amy Kleine yes Amy I bought several items from the line and I find it very luxe and having great performance. I've heard of 14e, but won't be trying any more foundations until I finish the four I own.
Foundation week sounds great! I'd definitely watch it :) PS - threading is actually quite easy to learn. I Googled it and I've been doing my own threading ever since. It does take a bit of practice though!
The OLO oil cleanser was one of the first natural Products I purchased this year when switching my skin care and cosmetics over. I just finished a bottle and like you, I've been using some other things before deciding to repurchase. I am using up a jar of Emma hardie balm which works very well. I also made my own oil cleanser using castor oil, almond oil and a bit of jojoba. It's okay but the consistency is much thicker than the OLO.
Andalou Naturals makes a pumpkin glycolic mask that's very similar to the Peter Thomas Roth one. Highly recommend checking it out when you finish the PTR one up!
Hey Ashley! I would love to see a comparison on Sappho and Gressa! I know both foundation formulas are quite different but it would still be nice to hear about them side by side! Thank yoU!
Thank you for this video! I've been eyeing marc jacobs slow burn for quite a while and have been on the fence because I hadn't found a good lip swatch for it online - it looks exactly what I was hoping it would look like! Glad to see it found its way into a monthly favourites
Love this concept and going to look at the lash and brow product. I'm blonde and older and my brows are so thin!!! Just bought my first Smith & Cult polish based on your love and it's great. I bought Beach Plastic (?) it's great. Love your beauty and skin care tips. Thanks!!
My skin is dry, so Gressa didn't work well for me. I'm really looking forward to the comparison to Sappho! And I love the foundation series idea in general. I love the OLO oil cleanser too! It's my favorite and will be repurchased after I use up the one I'm currently using from First Aid Beauty.
Since Too Faced did that with the BTS mascara, maybe Benefit will too. It would be great to have a waterproof formula as an option, especially in the warmer months. : ))
I've had the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask on my wish list since this video and my husband just gave it to me for my birthday! Holy moly that stings but man, my face looks good. And it smells like a treat. ☺️ Thanks for another great recommendation.
YES to the foundation week! I use sappho but would love to hear about Gressa. And also a top 10 natural products please ! I just got to try the OLO Cleanser and I love it. Have you tried suntegrity spf? Shea terra black seed oil? Evan healy's immortelle hydrosol? I recommend them all.
I enjoyed the updates on previous favorites. I often wonder if people still use what they previously mentioned. I just went and ordered those Real Techniques brushes. 🙊
Yes! I have rosacea and read that it helps with flushing and inflammation. I'm getting ready to place an order so I will pick it up then. Can't wait to hear what you think!
Hi Ashley! Could you do a video on your hair styling routine? I have very fine hair lacking in volume and from the looks of things you are doing very well in the volume department!
Hey Ashley! Have you ever tried any of the Julep nail polish or makeup? If you have I'd love to see a video of your opinions on it. I really love their polish and some of their makeup is top drawer for me. I don't use any other eyeliner than theirs. Glides on like butter! Love your videos!
I love your videos - the music is lovely, your choices are always great and so unique, and you are just so lovely. The nail polish - what's the benefit of the coconut water in it? I have other colors from them in the Gel Effects, so just wondering how it would affect the formula. I love that color! xx
My Ulta bday gift was a travel hairspray...😳. I would have much preferred a mini Roller Lash. Bummer. Also, I noticed that the Ulta coupons are now $3.50 off of $15...no longer $10. 😕
Yes, I have! Boscia was probably my favorite before trying the OLO. I still like the Boscia, but there's something special about the OLO...I think it might be the exfoliating property that leaves my skin feeling extra soft. : )
I spy one of my favourite masks before the video has even loaded! PTR pumpkin mask - so good and using it tonight! Would you still recommend Paula's Choice for a first timer to natural beauty ranges? Thanks, Abigail
Hi, Abigail! The PTR is SO good! I'm really happy with my purchase. : ) Paula's Choice isn't a natural brand, but they are my absolute favorite skincare line. (I may have just placed another order with them. ; )) If you want natural recommendations, I love Acure and Andalou Naturals for starting out and One Love Organics for a more high end option.
Have you try Jeffre Star's high lighters yet? I guess Ice is suppose to be really good for fair skin. If you are thinking about getting them would you do a review on them? Thank you
Hi, Amber! After watching tarababyz review of the highlighters, I decided to pass. I'm really loving Becca's Pearl highlighter - perfect for fair skin. : )
I don't really wear highlighter that much. I have both the highlighters from Sephora. I heard Tati and Lady Nicole talk about the eye shadow called Snowflake by Essence. I am going to try it. It was only $1.99 so if it does not work I am not out anything. I also can use it as a highlighter or an all over shadow.
Hi Ashley, Great favorites! Do you think the Gressa foundation is suitable for combo and acne prone skin? Also I have very fair skin with a cool pink undertone, is there a place to order samples to make sure I get the right shade? Thank you.
Hi, Colleen! Yes, that pretty much describes my skin type, and I love this foundation. Just make sure the areas where you are dry are prepped well before using the Gressa. I don't think they do samples on their site, but you might be able to buy a sample from Integrity Botanicals. I'm shade 02 for reference. : )
.i think $42 for 4 ounces of makeup remover is a bit steep!!! I like so many other makeup removers that are far less and do a great job. I don't mind paying more for products that last like the eye cream, but makeup removers get used up rather quickly. Jmo
