May sees great progress with the Midfield Terminal Complex and Airfield Projects 

The Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC) and Airfield Projects are taking shape, as this exciting video showcasing May's progress demonstrates. Sweeping aerial shots of the four piers, central processor and roof arches show just how far the MTC has come recently. Also see the progress of the brilliant new Southern Runway and Midfield Airside Road Tunnel, as the video provides a great overview of their construction so far. The renovation of the Southern Runway is one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in Abu Dhabi at the moment, while the Midfield Airside Road Tunnel, which will pass beneath the Southern Runway, will offer a vital link between the South Terminals and the new Midfield Terminal.
The short film concludes with a stunning graphic visualisation of the MTC, which shows just how impressive the finished product will be. Set for completion on 17th July 2017, it will be visible from more than 1.5km away and will handle an initial capacity of 30 million passengers per year.
