Out of all the book channel I know and follow, you're my most favorite one. I love how you explain the prospect of the book, how you point out things that you like and didn't like about a certain book or series without offending the fan of those book or series and how you always encourage your viewer to read books you like while keeping all the bigger details that the reader will experience by reading that book (at least in my case). Keep what you're doing ❤
I totally agree, the longer the fantasy series, the better!! I’m rereading all of the shadowhunters books spurred on by Chain of Gold. It’s been several years since I read TMI so it’s been a really fun way to reminisce. I already know I’m going to be so sad when I finish them!!
The Realm of the Elderlings time line is Fitz(farseer trilogy) Liveship traders trilogy(new characters in a new place, badass women) back to fitz (tawny man trilogy) Rain wild chronicles (new characters in another new place) finishing with Fitz and the fool ( combining all characters and places).
You will absolutely love reading The Guest List! I flew through it in 4 days. I have so many book tabs in it!! It's my favorite thriller of the year so far !
During quarantine, I've strictly been watching Regan's videos, watching Normal People, and adding 5 million books to my goodreads everyday. This is the most books I've ever read in such a short period of time. I LOVE IT
My May TBR consists of: -finish Golden Son, by Pierce Brown -finish The Crown of Embers, by Rae Carson -The Kind Worth Killing, by Peter Swanson That’s it 😭 I’m in finals and for some reason exams are harder when you take them online... it’s like professors making it impossible to cheat lol. If I have more time I’ll at least start Morning Star
Iving Zuniga finally Been waiting to see someone who enjoys Red Rising books on booktube!! I’m on the Dark age already aaaaaaaaaaand: YOU ARE IN FOR A RIIIIIIDE 🤩
Don't usually set physical TBRs (there's too many unread books on my shelf, so I can just select based on mood), but hoping to finish the Grisha trilogy and Mistborn trilogy at the least! Already read A Little Life and half way through Girl, Woman, Other
honestly gonna hopefully marathon through the throne of glass series! (i’m late i know 😓) just reread throne of glass after a couple years and loved it, going on to crown of midnight for the first time and wow i don’t wanna put it down but finals are this week 😩
I’m currently doing a medievalathon for this whole month. My plan is to read 4 books. I already finished one book, which the ice dragon by grrm, and I’m reading strange the dreamer right now. The other two books I’m planning to read are muse of nightmares and the cold is in her bones by peternelle van arsdale
yaasss - we love us an ambitious TBR 📚 My May TBR: - Hero of Ages (Mistborn #3) by Brandon Sanderson - Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton - Cujo by Stephen King - Smashed by Junji Ito If all goes well, maybe I'll also finish the Raven Boys series, but we'll see 😅 Hope everyone's having a great reading month! 💕
I never set a TBR just because my reading mood changes too much but in May I have already finished Dangerous Alliance after seeing it on your channel. It was absolutely ridiculous but in such a fun way!
i’d love to see a video of your favorite authors of all time! some are probably pretty easy to guess but it would be interesting to hear you talk about it
I’m waiting on Thunderhead to arrive in the mail, after that is The Toll, the new Hunger Games prequel, and maybe I’ll have time to fit in the 3rd Percy Jackson (first time reading the Percy Jackson series!)
FYI the Dresden Files is AWESOME on audiobook. James Marsters (Spike in Buffy! but with an American accent) is Harry Dresden and he is completely amazing.
If you enjoy historical fiction, and are in need of wanting to travel through books in this time I highly suggest next year In Havana and when we left Cuba! They are sister books, and are utterly beautiful, have strong women, and have amazing romances! My two favorite books of all time for sure! 💛💛
Sounds like a fun TBR! I plan to finish the Toll and hope to read Romanov by Nadine Brandes (I've been in a mood for a good Anastasia retelling) and The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken.
So happy you are making your way through the Dresden Files! I am on book 5 at the moment. Grave Peril and Summer Knight is when things start picking up! You will not be disappointed
TBR List includes -Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy -The Dragon Republic (#2 in Poppy War Trilogy) -Fire and Ash (#4 in Rot and Ruin series) -Little Fires Everywhere -The Shining -Vicious Quarantines got me feeling ambitious on my reads this month
Welp, guess I'm going back to look through your January wrap up to see what you thought of Nevernight! I've been on the fence about starting it and I'm so interested to hear what you thought. Happy May!
Have you read the arcana chronicles? the beginning of the first book is a little like a contemporary but then it becomes this epic fantasy with a lot of angsty romance and you really fly through all the book, they're good.
Definitely Shorefall. Haven't bought it yet because I'm feeling guilty about all the quarantine books I've bought. I'm sure I'll get over it like...tomorrow. Maybe sooner.
I'm really excited to hear your thoughts on the Farseer trilogy once you finish it! Royal Assassin was my favorite, the ending is brilliant and Hobb's writing really shines in it. Assassin's Quest has some pretty amazing and unforgettable moments, but it also has a lot of meandering... Do you think you'll read her next trilogy? The Liveship Traders takes place in a different area of the same world with different characters and is written in third person with multiple POVs, and it's probably Robin Hobb's most solid trilogy. It is SO well written.
Officially placing The Guest List and The City We Became on my TBR list as well........2nd time I"ve heard/seen something on these books and I feel is a sign I too need to read them as well. Looking forward to your insight after reading them!
I loooove that you're getting into Hobb, her books have been my favourites for many years so it makes me happy whenever someone newly discovers and reads them!
I'm aiming for seven fiction books this month: - Two for the Asian Readathon: Wicked Fox and Library of Legends - One for 'Scaling treeware Mt TBR': Reread of Dead Witch Walking - One for my Dresden Files reread to prep for Peace Talks in July: Proven Guilty (audiobook) - Two PNR comfort reads: Southern Arcana Books 2 & 3 - One for my SFF bookclub book of the month: We are Legion
I recently started If it Bleeds by Stephen King! I’m very excited to finish it. Other books on my tbr consist of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, and The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski!
I'm really enjoying making my way through the Realm of the Elderling series & I love how long it is, and I completely agree that it's super refreshing to have such a full world to explore!
I also read Tessa Dare's Spindle Cove series and the last book of the Castles Ever After is a crossover with Spindle Cove called Do You Want To Start a Scandal. Super good.
I’m not much of a TBR person since I’m such a mood reader but the books I will be for sure reading are If it Bleeds and Salem’s Lot by Stephen king and The Handmais Tale by Margaret Atwood. Beyond that I don’t know what I’m reading this month
I AM READING THE 7 AND A HALF DEATHS OF EVELYN HARDCASTLE AND LOVING IIIITTT!!! First mistery book I've every read but definitly not the last! Love ur videos!!!
I think you’re the first booktuber that I’ve seen that has mentioned The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I LOVED that book when I read it last year. I actually only have one definite book on my TBR this month and that’s Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. You’ll like Godsgrave. And Darkdawn, the last book in the trilogy.
your video came JUST IN TIME! was sitting down with my morning coffee wanting to start the day a bit light (have to work all day :( ) and voila! thanks Regan! Also love the dress you're wearing!! the neckline is so flattering and the colour is beautiful.
They are amazing! When I finished the whole 16 books I was NOT ready to leave the world (and most of all Fitz) so I just went back and reread the first trilogy. The books aren't perfect at all, and there are some things that annoyed me, but I fell so deeply in love with all the characters and Robin Hobb's writing style that I think this is my favorite series ever.
I'm a very slow reader and recently got into the habit of reading everyday (since September 2019) and your channel helps/inspires me so much! my (very short) May tbr: - Finish Crown Of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas´ - Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas - The Hand On The Wall by Maureen Johnson
you have so many great books for this upcoming month!!! I'm really excited to see what you think of Godsgrave because i'm kind of on the same boat LMAO good luck!!
Ooooh - you're in the early stages of reading the Realm of the Elderlings series and also the Dresden Files...you've got so many great books ahead of you!! I love both series. Robin Hobb will pull out your heart and stamp on it numerous times! And Dresden files are a brilliant binge read - perfect time to get into it with the next two in the series being released later this year. I also look forward to hearing your thoughts on Shorefall cos I loved Foundryside 😊 You'll really enjoy Godsgrave too - it's even better than Nevernight! I am currently reading The Burning White (last in the Lightbringer series). I have had the book for months and just got around to it. I know that people have been quite divided in opinion on the end of this series, but I'm enjoying it so far. Happy reading 😁
1. Omg where did you get that top (or dress) it's amazing!!!! 2. I've been reading a Storm of Swords from ASOIAF, hoping to make good progress there, and I've been rereading the clique series, which I'll probably finish this month
I read the Queens Poisoner on your recommendation last month and it was soo good. I’m hoping to read the thief’s daughter soon! It was a very relaxing and comforting read.
I'm catching up on the Witchlands series by Susan Dennard so I just have to read Bloodwitch! Then I'm planning on starting another series that I've had on my shelves for a long time so I'm debating between Nevernight, Strange the Dreamer, and Six of Crows.
I'm reading my first books of Joe Abercrombie!!!! I want to read the Shattered Sea trilogy. I've always wanted to read Abercrombie book, but I've always been kinda intimidated, but this month I'm gonna be brave and finally give him a chance ♡
My tbr includes Darkness, My Old Friend by Lisa Unger, Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman (I’m way overdue on that one), and a few books about pregnancy 🤰🏼
Currently reading: the unbound by Victoria Schwab. So far, so good. I think my top "want to read" books will be bunny by mona awad and the well of lost plots by jasper fforde.
I’m currently working my way through the throne of glass series, I’m about ~200 pages from finishing Heir of Fire so I’m hoping to finish that soon! And after finals this week I want to finish this series and maybe fit in I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid! I want to read a lot this month bc my summer is fullll of online classes so fingers crossed !!
Hi I'm not sure if you have read this or not but it sounds right up your alley! It's called "Steel Crow Saga" by Paul Krueger...its is blurbed as a combination of Pokeman and Avatar: The Last Air Bender! I just read it and it was 5/5 for me😊
Ok I’m also a HUGE WIMP when it comes to scary stuff. (I’m currently reading Harry Potter for the first time and the prisoner of Azkaban book scared the living daylights out of me) BUT I highly highly recommend “a good girls guide to murder”! It was so intriguing and definitely more of a “who dun it” than a thriller. (It is YA though, I know you’re not necessarily into that!) but I’m getting the guest list in the mail (hopefully) tomorrow and hoping that it won’t be too scary for me!
I'm just hoping to finish the priory of the orange tree. And then probably carry on with some gothic novels set in the Victorian London as it is all I seem to be reading these days 🤷♀️
I read the city we became in the beginning of april and loved! I don’t think it’s nk jemisin’s best book, but it’s definitely just as smart and well crafted as her other ones. I have high hopes for the sequel. Also I really want to read Foundryside!
I love your videos I watch pretty much everything you post haha I would love if you could post a picture of the cover of your ebooks when you mention them though I never what what you're talking about cause I'm really bad with names. Thank you for your vids !
May tbr The girl in the letter - emily gunnis The things we cannot say- Kelly rimmer the tower of swallow- andrzej sapkowski The eye of the world - Robert Jordan Hopefully if I get to it wouldnt mind starting nevernight! See how I go!
Oh my gosh I'm so jealous you got Shorefall! I had it on the reserve from the library months ago... But then everything shut down :( So excited to see how you fly through it though!!!
