What a great and groovy start to the video! 😁👍💜 John Williams is by now 92 years old and still full of energy. My musical companion (and idol) since 1978. MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!
Hi. I was wondering what you used to make your voice sound like it was in a professional studio or hall? It started around 36:52 and you stopped it around 39:16. It seemed like you pressed a button to stop the voice and go back to your regular voice. And I see no microphone or voicechanger. Can you please let me know what device or program you have to use or how you did it since it is something that i would like to try when I do music?
Sure Courtney. What you don’t see is a Rode shotgun mic overhead, you can see it in the SkyCam shots. I am running everything through my DAW (Cakewalk), which includes my mic and all of the virtual instruments. The mix is sent into my streaming software OBS Studio. My voiceover channel has some EQ, Compression, and some noise reduction to help with the noise of fans and such in the room, I use Brusfri from Klevgrand, Waves Greg Wells VoiceCentric as well. I have setup what is called an EFFECTS BUS, this is where I have a reverb plugin (not exactly which one but will update). So when I pressed the “button”, I was activating the SEND, to route the mic signal to the EFFECTS BUS, and then clicked it off to resume the unaffected voiceover. I hope that helps, and thanks so much for watching. I wish you many successful adventures that are ahead for you.
So sorry to have missed you live, but music and our experiences together have a sense of timelessness that I find amazing, so I do hope you enjoy the ride on the replay. Thanks for watching.
@PraiseTracks I did watch and was amazed as usual. You bring such feel-good vibes to it as well. I sat down with my own copy of Lost Guitar after, and like Lost Piano, it's a beast I haven't been able to tame yet. I guess I just need more time with it
