Thanks for the tip about rereading There There before diving into Wandering Stars! You had a very interesting reading month. If you haven't read Paul Harding's Tinkers, you may like it based on your thoughts about This Other Eden.
thanks for the information about Wandering Stars and There, There. I read There, There when it first came out but remember mostly the end. So I may listen to it before picking up Wandering Stars. Jill Lepore is now on my radar.
Oh man, I completely forgot I started the Murderbot series! I have to put the next book on my list - thanks for the reminder 😅. Crap, thanks for the warning about Wandering Stars - I've completely forgotten what happened in There, There. I'll have to look up a recap or something before I jump into the new book.
In August, I’m planning on rereading Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy, which was published 20 years ago and got a Printz & Newbery Honor awards and is about the same island. I recall it as much better than Eden, and while it’s fresh enough in my mind I wanted to see how they compare. If you are interested in a buddy reading it with me, let me know.
I hadn’t heard of this book, thank you for telling me about it. I have determined I can’t take on any new buddy reads at this time. Too much going on this summer but thank you for asking!
