One of the things that resonated with me this season is the fact that Maya went from having a panic attack for not being available for a 4 alarm fire, to getting a panic attack because she couldn't be there for Carina in the event that she was hurt. She accepted she needed to be benched, eventually, but the idea of Carina being in danger... She's healing. And this is absolutely beautiful, and sad, and also optimistic.

You know Maya really needs a win next season not just with work but with everything. I feel like she's always the punching bag for 19. She gets captain, her best friend and team act like she betrayed them. She breaks the rules to save a child, she gets demoted. She starts having a mental break down and no one is there for her. I really want to see a big win for her. Not the team, just her.

a small detail i’ve notice watching after maya has gotten help is that there is not an episode i remember her working out or running like she used to almost every episode and even if i forgot it happened a few times it’s way way less which is a minor detail in her character development

Honestly Cam, I can't thank you enough for making this video. It should be required viewing for everyone who dislikes Maya. She's been through so much, and you do an AMAZING job of showing the compounded pain and trauma. I always say its remarkable Maya is as functional as she is given her history, and honestly this edit shows that she's got to have the biggest, warmest heart to still have humanity left in her after everything she went through.

God! After the first minute, I was sobbing for the rest of the video. This has been a perfect summary of the evolution of Maya's character, you did not lack anything and it shows that you understand her well.
