MAYA MAYA NO.1 SKATE TIP, Muscle memory is super important , Repetitions are key , Practice standing on the tail of the board and flicking your front foot forward into the pocket of the nose, (the Curvy bit) do triple digit reps of this followed by Committed kick flip attempts. YOU WILL KICK FLIP KEEP AT IT!!!!

Happy to see her get stoked on progressing, and also happy that she reversed her take on not learning an ollie first. Now she's got the feeling of success and who knows, maybe she'll stick with it now vs just getting bummed on a million kickflip attempts.

Yea, sadly when she was first learning the person who was helping her (whos name I forgot) sadly wasn't really teaching her that well and didn't insist on teaching an ollie first since an ollie is the base component of like 85% of skateboarding tricks.

@@KnightMcflee the one and only dude with half a brain here that's been my schpiel for like 15 years dudes hop on and only want all the tricks instead of actually learning... like imagine not knowing how to ride a motorcycle but tryna whip it in a ramp with no foam pit lmao also unfortunately none of this will stick because muscle memory when riding is completely different than when standing still. it's kinda sad but she will literally learn to ollie stationary once and then just plateau, unless she actually goes out and rides the board

When I used to skate I would have my trick foot closer to the middle of the board to get that extra room and oompf on my kickflips/heelflips and varials. maybe she should try that

she is smaller and that really works to your advantage in skating, but at some point she will get injured and I think thats when most people quit

I think shes just gonna kickflip and be done, just for the viewers, i dont think she likes skateboarding. shes gonna have to bleed for it, so in that context id say not worth, but im not a streamer so cant relate

PURE obsivervations ... i think you have a twin nose board so its gonna be hard to pop for a begginer... also you need to put your back foot further back and not at a angel.... it will give u more power to push and pop and then u just nee to slide the front foot up toward the nose and level out and hold basically....

She tryna run before she hasn't even learned to crawl yet. She should just ride around first before trying any tricks. Being comfortable on the board will be a million time more helpful in learning new tricks than what she is currently doing.

i dont think people realize how much it helps actually riding the board it's like riding a bike. you aint going nowhere unless you're actually moving to get you some balance. your balance is so bad, because you dont know how to skate, but also because you're standing still. there's no movement hence no balance. also you learning tricks stationary will NEVER translate to actual skating. so if you really wanna do something with this, just practice riding the board and THEN ollieing this is literally just a waste of time

I think she needs to practice ollies more. then do 180s and shove-its. jumping from barely doing an ollie to kickflip is a HUGE leap. gotta really give the muscles lots of practice to build up that muscle memory esp for ones who arent particularly active/fit.

@@drywater3559 but the challenge is to kickflip, not to 180 and shuv. Maybe it's looking crazy that she's going straight for a kickflip but that's Maya you're watching right now. From what I've seen so far, she's actually doing great and she's really going through almost everything a usual skater goes through and she's learning fast. Even Ricky sees her as S tier, I can't argue with that. And it's fun that she's being challenged by Lud now for the first to do a kickflip, the banter is amazingly entertaining. Just enjoy it man.

Maya does a great job of ONLY using the nose of the board and not ever using the tail which easily gives you 40% more pop, in her last ollie vid she accidentally used the tail and she was like 'Woah!' by the way it went **POP** Edit; You actually want the board to hit the ground, think of it as THROWING the board down into the ground with your back foot so it bounces up into the air and you guide it with your front foot so that it stays infront/beneath you

If you are asked to leave private property and refuse they'd just call the cops and have you trespassed. You leaving on your own just prevents you from dealing with getting banned from the property. If it's a strip mall, you'd lose access to all those locations as well. So if you like shopping there don't piss off the people who work there. :P

She rode a longboard to class in college but that's it. Also she rides the opposite way of how she's comfortable doing tricks so she's making it way harder on herself to learn stationary. What we're seeing now is the result of two sessions of sheer determination.

Heel flips are easier to learn while trying to do a kickflip. Don't ask how or why. but I couldn't do a kickflip forever but had heelflips down super fast when I fist started skating.

For a second session you’re doing great!I believe you could master this near the end of your fourth session! For your back foot, I suggest keeping it in a ready position instead of flat on the board, and move it farther back more on the tip of the tail this will make your pops really pop. For your front foot, be more aggressive and try to kick through the nose of the board, but not too hard as that'll send it flying.

Squat down way lower. It helps to be on ground that you will not roll. Try on carpet it will actually let you learned the motion.

When she is trying an ollie she does not scoop her foot forward but when she tries to do a kickflip she does, hence the kickflip attempt at 12:31 makes an almost perfect ollie.

I loved skating a couple years ago, I remember teaching my friends to kickflip and it made me feel joy seeing them progress 😊 Also if anyone is going through depression, anxiety, and going through life feeling they have no purpose just know God sees your pain and torment you're going through.
