So being an Aussie, I have one or two emu stories. I will NEVER forgive the emu who nicked my bucket of hot chips when I was living in Deniliquin when I was very young. The other thing about them is if you happen to drive behind them on a 4wd trip they will basically run in front of you for a long time. It takes them quite some time before they realise they can turn left or right. Sometimes they never will, you'll be going emu speed for quite some time. But I love your bond with Stompy.

I think it's probably part of being a streamer with newcomers every day, or being a teacher with new students every year. The nature of it is that you explain things to people that didn't ever encounter with that kind of topic before! I didn't know what an educational embassador was until I was here and now I do. So it's great that you're a natural at animal care, but it's awesome for the rest of us to have someone explain some basics to us :)

The Australian military had a war agenst emus because they were destroying crops or whatever and they went out and tried to kill all of them and they just couldn't, emus are like tanks. So the Australian military lost a war to a bunch of flightless birds.
