A little bit. But I prefer this one. The B&Gs have gold hardware, which always looks tacky to me, and their f-holes are weirdly shaped and positioned.

So this is the new thing now? Functionally limited parlors but still $1000? For the money theres no reason to not go for a Wide Sky or a B&G. Maybach should of made this under $500. There's virtually no carve either. That makes me sad

Ripping off B&G and doesn't sound nearly as good. Doesn't stay in tune either.

"Ripping off B&G" is a stretch; non-cutaway, vintage-vibe electrics are hardly their exclusive province. Plus, the Little Sister has an awkward shape and tacky gold fittings.

I really like maybach, but I think it's terrible that they copy guitars from small builders like wilde sky. It's not similar, it's exactly the same. It is fine to copy a brand like Gibson because, as a small operation you're probably not hurting their bottom line in a serious way, but wilde sky is a very small company, so this could seriously hurt them

totally different guitars, the maybach is a semi hollow with a les paul feel, the grote is a full hollow with a jazz box feel.

This guitar is a classic example of one company making (what appears to be) a nice guitar that becomes popular (at least in reputation) and another company saying.....OOOOH lets copy them. Hello B&G

id never heard of B&G until people started commenting on this video. I doubt B&G invented semi hollows with f-holes though ;-), looking at them online the general concept is similar but at lot of the details are way different.

@@60CycleHumcast - No shade to you - I understand you are doing a review......no issues here, And ff course no ONE "invented" all the elements but B&G did most recently did bring some of them together very successfully in the Little Sister etc. to make a highly rated guitar.
