I love how the Lego fans are hating on it while the transformers fans are actually really liking it, the transformers fans that usually hate everything
Out of all the complaints, this is the dumbest one and I don’t know if I should take everything he says in this short seriously or not. Is the Lego bumblebee actually bad?
Whilst I do think that kibble should be avoided with transformers figures, espescially the more expensive ones, I'm not gonna fault Lego too much for it here, considering that this is a fairly new thing they're doing, which means some things are going to be compromised in an attempt to learn what they can and can't do when it pertains to making Tramsformers out of lego.
@@allanorme2093 the only time I hear people complain about a Transformers toy being blocky are the Prime Universe figures in the Legacy line. But mostly people complain about Transformers design not being blocky.
@@AfterthymeGaming Ya being blocky would be a good marketing point, cause of how many people meatriding the G1 designs and saying that any other design is bad
@@ebensennett3095That's cause of the toyline it came from. It was part of a line of toy robots meant to turn into Penny Racer cars, so they were cartoony and stylized to fit with the real penny racers a kid would have.
If it's any consolation, the tranformers fans like it... Bumblebee has ALWAYS been a pain to desing with most official normal transforming figures( even the high end ones) looking terrible, so we respect lego for even trying to make that desing work when even the original struggles heavily.
While people like aranoblis98,clickbrix,stsc,IXrollout and maybe even hachirocku make 100 times better models in 2-1 months. They are all stable and easy to transform too and have articulation. This bee is pure shit
I thought the same thing! The placard he comes with literally says “freedom is the right of all sentient beings” I guess that translates to monster somehow?
@@MistahG21 jokes aside I think you might be reading too deeply into the Monster comment. A "monster" can also just be big, which Lego Optimus most certainly is.
I’m convinced this guy is a rage baiter. It’s not a slam dunk like Prime, but for what Lego is capable of doing, Bee looks pretty good in robot form. The Beetle at first I thought looked a little iffy, but then I looked back and realized the original Bee toy wasn’t meant to be a Beetle, he was meant to turn into a toy penny racer style car. So the Lego version having those interesting Chibi proportions checks out to an extent. I think for what they were working with it came out pretty well.
Yeah, so am I. Bro just slanders the shit out of this set, but it isn't even that bad. He's either putting way too much expectation on a fucking transforming lego set that has better engineering than some of the other Hundred dollar Bumblebee figures, or he's just trying to get views by pissing people off.
Lego transformer MOCs are hit or miss. Some look cool in robot mode, but are basically just bricks with tiny wheels in vehicle mode. Then there are some that are good in both modes. I find it easier to just make custom characters instead of named ones so scale isn't an issue.
@@Ricks051505 Not sure if you were paying attention or not, but the transformers are plates stacked on plates. Those things wont fall apart even with a separator. Also technic joints.
@@W-West5555 ? I like the set. Oh I think I commented on the wrong one. Someone asked what the new piece was and I said the wheel arches were new I believe
As a Transformers fan, making a transformable Bumblebee normal figure is already tough. A LEGO Bumblebee would be even harder. Also they clearly didnt get the licensing for Bee, and honestly its a fine set youre just overreacting jeez
They did get the licence. There’s a big ass hasbro logo on the side of the box, doubt that would be there if they didn’t have permission to use him but yes I agree this guy over hates literally everything
Im convinced this guy was around when Lego was invented, was frozen alive for decades, just now defroze, was given vague updates on the current world, and when released into the world decided to hate on modern toys on social media while having no idea what the toys are from
1. Optimus has zero possibility, either 2. Both transformers have pieces sticking out 3. I am a fan of both transformers and LEGO, yet i actually like the Bumblebee MORE than the prime. I dont really know, and i dont want to start a fight. That is my opinion, at least.
They should have gone for the Camaro, personally I think that they could have made the design a bit better because the Camaro is naturally blockier with sharper corners compared to the round vw beetle
a lot of rage bait actually since he called a Lego g1 bumblebee bad because it's blocky g1 are literally the most blocky transformers and for Lego do I have to even explain?
My hot take about the bumblebee set is that I think it's actually a pretty big improvement over the lego Prime. The transformation is very well executed and the robot mode has much better proportions. I don't actually think car mode is any worse than Lego Prime's truck mode. A truck mode just has an easier silhouette to create, but the imperfections are shared between both. Only thing that bugs me is the windshield popping off. That seems lazy compared to everything else.
Come back when your opinion is actually relevant. I've loved transformers since the first time I set eyes on them, I've seen every episode of every show, seen every movie when it released. This is the best bumblebee I could ever ask for as a start for the main characters in the series. Your video just shows you know not how to appreciate greatness
Isn't that the point question mark wasn't the original action figures all blocky and shitt with no possibility so this would be pretty accurate would it not??
I have a couple G1 figures and their articulation is almost equivalent to a brick half the time. Newer figures of course are way better, but their reference was the G1, not a newer one
Bro they got inspired by the original toy from the 70s and Lego is complex and also bmw is not licenst and take a look at the of toy Bro and its suppost to scale with Optimus and if its bad make it yourself 💀
I'm both a LEGO fan and a transformers fan and I have the bumblebee (still saving for Optimus) and I thought the set was a W My dad got it for me as a gift after we saw Transformers One and it's one of my fav sets in my room rn But I am mad that he has basically no movement on his legs tho But I display it as a car anyway and I think the car form looks amazing for a toy made of !BLOCKS! so...
Dude, these lego transformers are based off g1. Also, it's Lego. What did you want a hyper articulated model that literally dies if you drop it at all. Grow up
go do it yourself then, you probably have the pieces or can buy it off Bricklink. They actually did damn good, I also tried my hand at it (I've been making Lego transformers for at least 7 years now) and I didn't get all that close.
The Lego Optimus Prime was designed by a transformer designer but Lego bumblebee was designed by a Lego designer that’s why bumblebee has limited range of motion
@@barely_stable_productionsI think they can make him because his tank mode isn’t based or is any in real life tanks and they usually look pretty cartoony considering they are doing the g1 designs.
@@barely_stable_productionscuz they have made Star Wars tanks that look way more realistic to irl tanks and they have even put the word “tank” on the boxes
As a Transformers, and Lego fan collector this was more/less my knee jerk reaction as well. I have no problem with the fun little 8 wide car mode or the proportions which overall aren't terrible. I just really wish more could have been done with the legs, and feet. With as many technical solutions, and parts available you'd think The feet could have been engineered to pivot flat, with the wheels folded beneath them. As is the design overall feels like an updated G1 Legacy Bumblebee with a lot of inspiration taken from the original. FWIW it's a decent attempt though not perfect.
Bro needs to understand that its a Transforming Lego Set. They aint gonna get VW branding, it has to hold together, it has to be even remotely accurate, and it has to transform semi-cleanly. Mans needs to humble himself. Plus, the newest Masterpiece Bumblebee is far worse.
They made the lego without leg joints for stability. They probably would have put them in there but they also wanted it to transform because it's a transformer
I actually missed my chance to grab Optimus when I saw the set in person. I was broke at the time and my ADHD made me forget where I saw it. Is it still being sold?
I would live to see Lego and Hasbro attempt to make a Lego version of Megatron that can transform into a gun. I'm sure they would make Megatron turn into a tank, as it would most likely be easier. That being said, if seeing how both Lego Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are clearly based on their G1 appearances, it only makes sense to have Lego version of G1 Megatron turn into a gun.
