Nah I mean this car is good for her Maybe look at the equipment she’s in. But only 1 crash has been on her. The rest has been her either being shoved into a wreck or equipment failures
I’ve listened to Deegans scanner and Larsons scanner in cup every week and the input and help from the crew chiefs are different as day and night. On Larsons side they listen and make changes that work and keep him informed on everything he needs to know, unlike Deegans, she is kind of left on her own. I will say Deegans spotter is pretty good at staying on top of things.
She’s living up to expectations. In a DEI environment… not that DEI the one where companies trip over themselves to prove how woke they are. She will always have sponsors lined up to back her. That’s all that’s expected of her.
Haley is done, She has had plenty of opportunities. Why she got promoted to Xfinity has not been explained. ford is at fault. ford is done. good by ford.
I think had she had an experienced team mate in Xfinity, someone who knows handling of the cars and setup and could show her how to set up her car, she could possibly perform better. I agree she needs to get into better equipment but also get a better crew and mentor around her.
Sooo.... hear me out on this.... Watching Deegan running in the lower series and winning was really awesome to see and that had me so optimistic for her future in NASCAR. She was really talented and showed a ton of potential. That being said watching her do really poorly in the truck series was one thing and really sucked to see that because I truly wanted to see her finish well in races. But after watching her in Xfinity this year consistently finish in the back of the field or crash out always blaming someone else I just no longer believe she deserves to be in Xfinity or the truck series at all. She is a merchandising phenom but thats it. I hate to see it and I'd absolutely love to see her start running better but I just dont think that will happen.
Generally we all wanted her to do well but it's been a huge disappointment to see her come apart like this. Notice she has stopped her social media campaign which helped her deal with all the attention. She does have the talent as we did see in SRX. The real problem is she is not going to get better and that is a fact that hard to get passed. See what I did there, passed...Seriously she needs to embrace ARCA and get better.
Sex appeal. And that’s it. Now that deegan has proven she’s failed to be the next big female name I predict they’ll move that billionaire’s daughter tori or another arca/k&n female driver that they push some ad like “move over boys, the girls are coming” yea, coming to a top 30. I don’t dislike deegan she’s just not good. But Natalie decker? Cannot stand her.
@@LyleFrancisDelp when she claimed to be a professional nascar driver as if she’s some championship contending driver in an interview, then watched someone breakdown clips of her and how she guilt tripped her man into purposing, then claimed she was starting an OF after, that was enough for me to not have a positive outlook on her. I want there to be a good woman driver that finally breaks through and wins. But thousands of years prove otherwise that it can be many more years and likely a helluva race team and female driver to ever make that a reality
I was actually a pretty big fan the first year and a half or so. But now I’m almost embarrassed to admit it. I still like her as a person and a content creator. But she just needs to give up NASCAR. She’s been here a while now, and she’s just getting worse!
Finally! Someone has snapped out of Failie's trance! How's it feel knowing that she's just a waste of time in NASCAR? I don't hate Failie, it's just she's truly a waste of time. She hasn't improved at all and I don't think she cares to so yeah, she's a waste of time to AM Racing and to NASCAR, in general.
3:48 Ross said hed rather run a full because of 1 reason: *SEAT TIME* Its doesnt matted if your car is .3 faster than others if you just jump in it and wonder; whats the grip level? Taking 5 weeks off then getting in the car aint gunna do shit for her
There are plenty of drivers who are regional only and get lots of wins. They make a little dough and have some fun. She would be great at that. She could get one of the best rides and be a big name at that level. No need to ruin your name by running last in points for 3 years
I'm a HUGE Deegan fan and i say...Hailie Deegan is a okay driver, definitely not the best. But I feel like she definitely needs to improve or she would not be in nascar.
If they can give her a good car to get her up front and stay out of the back of the pack, she will be able to avoid all the reckless drivers bunched up in the back of the field.
The people that are writing the checks believe in Hailee Deegan that's what counts. And she has Increased there sales of there products know matter what is happening on the the track. None of this is up to skeptical cynical critics like BrakeHard. This guy couldn't even beat Hailee Deegan at Arm wrestling.
If her team wants to spend money on her, fine by me. I don't care of she's a good driver or not. If she's happy on Xfinity or any other racing category and there's people paying for her dream, who cares? I'll keep watching the racings with or without her on track. People has to stop being whiny everytime a female driver appears. Get a life.
She needs to run the Cars Tour or possibly ARCA until she leans how to drive. It is all about results and other than that one solo 13th place finish she looks like out of her element. It does not help that she takes no blame for anything and whines when she does bad. She runs around the back because that is her talent level.
Hailie should just stick to doing RU-vid videos instead of trying to make something happen in nascar She has no business being in NASCAR She is just costing her race team money
She needs to be put in a cup car. She deserves the ride after coming up through the ranks and has the funding. Trust me guys it’s the best choice. It’s the team that is not doing well. Love you Hailie
You need a reality check more than anyone I have ever come across. No one need Haillie deagan ruining real racers chances of winning while putting her multiple laps down every race. Really guy, don’t make such ignorant statements!
@@jimmyedmonds3704 you’re the ignorant one buddy. You must have missed the SRX race where she finished second last year behind one of the GOATS Tony Stewart. It’s clear you aren’t paying attention to the sport right now. You just hate on her cause she’s a girl doing better than you ever will in the race world. Love you Hailie
Come on you can't blame Hailee Deegan for what's going on in her rookie season. I say the equipment she has to work with is one reason and two the lack of practice drivers get these days. Also don't compare Hailee Deegan to Danica Patrick or Natalie Decker, cuz Hailee isn't like them. So leave her alone if you have nothing nice to say about her!
She is in her rookie season with X Finitely Series. A new crew chief and team development takes time. Women in NASCAR have never performed well. Mostly, it's a team or an equipment thing. She has the talent but there are drivers who are stuck in the past. This is a new era of racing not the 1960s lolol.
I think that the team is not giving her good cars to compete, I think that she needs to go to another Xfinity team with better cars and see what she could really do. 😊
We heard the same thing about equipment last year in trucks, in spite of her three teammates at ThorSport all making the playoffs and one winning the championship.
Google the following names: Shirley Muldowney, Erica Enders-Stevens, Angelle Sampey, Michele Mouton, Jamie Chadwick. They all want to hold their Powerade!
@@BARB_BLOX he could if it comes down to a rainout or fuel mileage his crew chief won those races not bubba he has mental anguish he can't think and drive, he just drives. And finishes an average of twentieth. His contract is up Jordan is a business man and bubba is costing him so I think bubba probably be in arca!!! That's my thoughts you got yours. It's like an old man told me if ain't making any money with that mule you just feeding him, you need a new mule!!!!
Put her in arca she has funding and name value and Arca can benefit from the exposure..their is nothing wrong with building arca back up and give her something too compete in..arca needs too change and she needs more practice
Maybe if she wouldn't waste so much time making social media videos about everything else and put that time into honing her "race craft" we wouldn't be here right now.
I was thinking exactly this same thing about a year ago. My granddaughter follows her and she even mentioned it. Glad I found people who think the same thing!
I said the same thing replying to a different video. I mean if I was given a opportunity to drive and that's what I wanted to do then I would Eat,Sleep and breath it. She's got time to make lame videos with her BF when she should be on a Sim or watching film or anything to get better. Also take some accountability for things instead of making excuses. Don't be a Bubba.
After screwing up in 2 different series in a row, she will probably get promoted. Regardless of how talented she may or may not be. After screwing up in Cup, her fans will continue to blame the equipment.
She's our modern-day Danica Patrick cuz we live in a country that virtual signals and has inclusiveness so she has a lifetime guarantee as a woman to drive forever and finished last in every race it doesn't matter about the money it's the virtual signaling that NASCAR is concerned with they're woke😂
@@driverslqqk7940And no matter how bad she runs, it's someone else fault. He has pretty girl privilege She will never be held accountable for anything ever. Even when she fucks up , it's because someone else fucked up and it's not her fault
Not just that but she will Allways have sponcers behide her meaning she brings money to the table and from what brisco said that's what teams are asking for not skill but money that YOU bring
@@driverslqqk7940 I see that people are discovering that motorsports isn't a meritocracy. It's a business, and people are finding the business side of this sport not so appealing. Just ask anyone watching F1 with drivers like Lance Stroll, etc. It's the classic: It's not what you know; it's who you know. Let's not forget Hallie's dad is an X Games Legend and linked to the Ford Racing Family. As long as the money keeps coming in, she might be here regardless of talent.
@@BraydenBunch58I remember Darian defending her garbage driving all because she had one good Xfinity race years ago. Once reality came in, every finally admits that Deegan is just the Xfinity Series version of Danica Patrick.
I pretty much believe the hype women racing in NASCAR in general might be coming to a halt!! I know there's a few more coming along still but even their chances of at least being competitive especially on the higher levels are slim to none!!
@@waynecampbell9208No 💩 Sherlock! Not trying to sound rude with that first part, But we had Danica Patrick, We had Natalie Decker, Now we have Hallie Deegan. Maybe it’s the equipment, Maybe it’s just Deegan, But this hype train can only go so far. Deegan needs to prove to herself that she belongs, I’m not a fan, But idk🤷🏻♂️
BrakeHard, FYI, when she was in the K&N West series, it was not ARCA. In the K&N West series, she had success by intentionally wrecking other drivers for her own gain. The last straw was when she intentionally wrecked her own teammate, Derek Krause, to get a win for herself. That angered Toyota/TRD and they dropped her from their racing program soon afterwards. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity. She's botched that too.
@@Lancr-jq2or In the Truck series, she was in good equipment, and still failed to do anything noteworthy. I doubt she'll do anything in top equipment in the Xfinity series.
Wish I had a career where I make millions of dollars to do nothing but wreck cars. My Deegan crash comp over the weekend got like 300 views in 2 days lol.
To be fair AM Racing isn't great equipment but at the same time she has shown no improvement in trucks or Xfinity and couldn't win in a lackluster ARCA field.
Michael Schumachers son Mick, drove for haas in F1, he was fired because he wrecked cars and it cost money. So Hailie had her shot, it didn’t work out she was bad in trucks. Xfinity team wanted exposure, but what are they getting in return, damaged cars every weekend. Is it really worth it? I don’t see her being in Xfinity after this season, she will either go back to dirt track racing and work on her skills or she will just stick to RU-vid and promoting her brand. If she manages to get promoted or take another ride after all this. It will just be a joke then.
A lot of people here have used a word that hits the nail on the head. GIVEN her rides .... not EARNED. She has to leearn 2 things in this sport, 1 she needs to work on her driving skills like the drivers that have earned their rides throughout their careers. 2 FOCUS on being a driver not an internet star. The stardom will come in time if she seriously works hard on her skills. That's why she has been through 2 crew chiefs this season. She wants to do it her way and not listen to needs to buckle down on.
Take a look at the trucks she left, the current drivers are doing just fine in that equipment. Maybe she should focus more on racing and less on social media.
you can only fail upwards for so long. Simple fact is she only has a ride because of her last name. People saying she should be in better equipment are delusional. She's done nothing to warrant that opportunity. Every time she's on screen it's because of an accident.
@@antoniestrada1972 lmao she only has a "social media presence" because of her last name. It all comes back to Brian Deegan being a household name. No massive following without that. I don't hold that against her at all but she has to perform once being put in the position.
@@Bidens_Battle_Box Brian digan is no Travis Pastrana saying he is a Household name is a stretch. Hailey Has a good social media present because she makes pretty good content if your being objective about it
@@antoniestrada1972 doesn't change the fact that nobody would care about her or her "content" had she not been the daughter of a famous motocross racer.
Emotions and Politics need to be removed. She belongs in the Arca Series if she can still get sponsorship. Her racing career is done. At the end of the season or when her sponsor's admit she is not a real Race Car Driver. She is just a RU-vid Short. She has had in the past short glimpses of being able to wheel a car for a single race, then her real talent is showed to the world. People want to believe in her due to wanting a woman to have success. She has had her chance; if she was a man she would never have been offer a ride in the Infinity series and she wouldn't have a Media following. Fans don't support Rookies who can't race. She has never been good enough to race in any of the Nascar series. An other failed Danica story that failed even more than the first one. There will be a super star Woman driver someday. The hurtle is that talent can only be shown with actions. If a driver is in a 2 tier can and they perform above that teams ability or budget that driver will get a better ride. .
She needs a career reset similar to JHN after an okay rookie season at FRM went down to trucks to try to get in that Toyota pipeline and get better opportunities and it worked. Honestly if I am her management team and sponsor I would be nonstop phoning either Gibbs or venturini to try to get an Arca ride next year and to try to rebuild her career
I wouldn't give up on someone so young, but she has been awful, regardless of how mediocre that team is. I can't justify any excuses at this point, i will give her until the end of the season to judge her, but she HAS to show some improvement.
No offense but she had plenty of opportunities to improve for a while now but she hasn't. I'm sorry but I think we need to stop giving this girl so many chances because just why? She's Danica 2.0 and that's final. Yes, she's young but let's not forget that she's focusing on social media shit more than focusing on her race craft. She might as well just go back to dirt racing or just be a social media personality full-time.
@@GatoradeCupSeriesX94 Yeah, I read it. You summed it up just perfect. Failie should just go back to dirt racing or just be a social media personality full-time because as you and I know, NASCAR isn't just for her.
A few years ago when Deegan was on the Dale Jr podcast, Kelly Earnhardt told her bluntly not to be in a hurry to move up into the higher series, as it was better to get the experience then move up. Hearing that from Kelly Earnhardt brought notice to me right then that she was not going to fare well. After experimenting with Danica Patrick at JRM, Kelleys advice came with knowledge and her advice does not appear to have been taken from the Deegan camp.
I think AM Racing they shouldn't fired the old crew chief, I would see a partial schedule in 2025 for Xfinity for S Green Light Racing & full time for ARCA for Haillie Deegan.
A little fact check: The Thorsport #13 truck was not a 'winning' ride. In fact, Jake Garcia's time in the truck this season really isn't much better than Deegan had last year, and he doesn't have people blatantly spinning him out (see Nich Sanchez). He currently has one top 10 in the first 12 races. I've said this before, and I will continue to say it...because a race car/truck comes from a stable that has winning rides, they are not all equal. Different people are working on each race car/truck in the stable. If you believe Deegan was in the same caliber ride as Rhodes, you don't understand how these shops work.
She’s still the best female so far in a LONG time. She was always by far the worst truck on her team so saying she was in championship equipment is a bit of an overstatement.. like saying Riley herbts is going to be the next Johnson.
A couple of things. First, in ARCA, she raced toe to toe with the same guys who are now running up front or actually winning races in Xfinity. No reason she shouldn't be able to do the same in Xfinity I would think. So is it the driver or the car/team? I would think it would be the later. Second, imho, based on her performance in ARCA, SRX and IMSA, there's no question, put in the right car, with the right team, she can be very competitive. Which brings me to m last point. Based on her performances on road courses in the truck series, and her performances in IMSA, I actually think she's a very talented road racer and should maybe be exploring IMSA instead of Nascar. Ford seems to be more serious about their IMSA program then their Nascar program anyway. Which I can totally understand, since road racing is much more suited to EV's and will make more sense to car manufacturers in the future as they transition to EV's. I don't know, the combination of Ford, IMSA and Haley, just seems to make more sense to me. Just one mans humble opinions.
Gotta comment on the reference to ThorSport because that is a very biased take. Everyone just seems to want to reference their successful teams with Ty Majeski and Ben Rhodes from the years she was there. I have no idea how those teams are funded or structured there, but the 88 has struggled by comparison in recent years and the 13 and 66 have been nowhere near as good as the others. A better comparison though is who is in the 13 now that Deegan left. Jake Garcia is 15th in points with 1 top10 in 12 races. It was practically the same for Deegan in 2023, 1 top10 in the first 12 races... both with a best of 6th at that point in their respective seasons (can find this on Racing Reference website). Why isn't Jake Garcia performing any better in the 13? He had 3 top5s and 9 top10s the prior year while with another team, he obviously showed he had talent. Another point that I have issue with in this video was concerning sponsorship. The impression I've had is that Deegan has no sponsorship, Ford (who she apparently has some sort of driver development contract with?) is cutting deals and keeping her in rides. It was very obvious with ThorSport because she mostly ran Ford paint schemes. With AM Racing I thought that Airbox was actually just the car owner's business? If so, that doesn't even count as a real sponsor, they're basically self-sponsored then. I think she should have done the opposite and moved up earlier and quicker when the buzz was high and if things didn't work out fine, move on, but at least take the shot and who knows maybe she could have landed with some bigger team and got a better support network, sponsors, etc. Now I think it is just too late and there isn't enough marketing buzz to attract any major sponsors. My hunch was that AM was counting on Talladega to get her a good finish that might get some media buzz but unfortunately it didn't work out. The comparison to Brett Moffit is a bit extreme. Brett is a good bit older and was a truck champion and incredible talent, yet he has no fulltime ride cause no sponsor in his back pocket (so I guess they have that in common). He left AM to do what was suggested of Deegan in this video (dump all your money into a couple races with a higher profile team). I agree with some others in the comments maybe sports car racing with Ford could offer some good opportunities for Deegan. The biggest concern I've noticed for Deegan is not being able to keep a crew chief. A lot of the really successful drivers will keep the same crew chief across several years and series even so not sure what the deal is with that but it will kill the stability of any team I would think. Best of luck to any and all the drivers trying to make it, the competition is fierce (on and off the track).
To be honest, her talent is so hard to read. She’s pretty competitive when all the stars line up like the SRX series but it just doesn’t translate to the latter series in Nascar especially developing the car. Her ride isn’t really that competitive but Brett Moffitt did finish 17th in the standings last year which she’s currently in 28th, yikes. She might need a Hail Mary and try IMSA for 4-6 years. Because at the current rate, she’s not going to make it to Cup and that’s sad for how initially promising she was. If she grinds hard for 2-3 seasons in the Mustang challenge and do some part time in xfinity, should get a ride in the Mustang GT3 in IMSA. If she learns to be a more competitive and consistent driver and gets the Mustang team a few wins and podiums, then the change for the Cup series could start to open up again. Not fully but reopens the chance again.
It is an interesting topic about Hailie Deegan not doing good in the “Exfinity” series but there has been a handful of drivers who has abysmal results in the “Exfinity” series but thrived in the Nascar Cup Series & one good example of that is Jimmie Johnson who did not have the best results in the “Exfinity” series but as we all know now how Jimmie did in the Nascar Cup Series 🏁
Totally moved up way too fast and I wonder if it’s because she’s a female in the sport and teams wanted her for marketing purposes or sponsor do.lars? It’s making her look really bad and I’m sure she’s better than this. Going back will definitely be better in the long run. It worked for JHN and is about to work for Cole Custer.
Maybe anything with a steering wheel might not be for Deegen. A net gain od 2 spots? It seems like a average of 6 or more fall out. So she isn't gaining anything, she is losing. Bubba ran 1 race i think & put her to shame. Thats one of many talented drivers we should be talking about instead of this gender game. She is one of the many examples of whats wrong with the sport.
Im a huge race fan and i gotta say, this crap is getting old. It is what it is. Is there something else we could be talking about? I would even go with, heyyy, have you seen how well Hocevar is doing? This Deegan talk is like beating a dead horse. I just wish it would go away.
If you guys take more attention to what was going on last weekend you should have heard her radio her team was pathetic they did not have anything going on they had their head in the fkn hole in the ground and had no clue what they were doing. Not everything is her fault all the time and she signed a two-year contract she's got one more year with A&M and hopefully and I'm pretty sure something's going to happen this year if not definitely next year. I mean come on cut her some slack this is a brand new team this is a brand new series you guys need to get off her back and let her do her job she is talented and she knows what she's doing .
She's been crashed. She's had some accidents. She's a little gunshy about having her next accident. She may just be playing it safe give her few. Years she'll do just fine.
Maybe get another driver to drive the car (Aric Almirola) and see where he finishes. If he finishes in a top 10 to 15th place, it's Hailie. If Aric finishes 20 or worse, it's the car.
Always been a fan of Hailey. This season has been an embarrassment. It doesn't look like anyone is even trying over there. Her, crew, anybody. Hope something improves. At least some effort.
Haley is to busy posting on youtube trying /o make money and to much time playing with boytoy!!! Needed to spend all her time practicing... time to move on..fact
I can drive but I ain’t paying for shit. They all need to pay me. I get the whole thing, corporate stuff and money. I’ve been around enough. But if drive I get paid. End of story.
Listening to her in her videos along with hearing her on the scanner I feel she doesn't have that experience of working on and really knowing your own car along with all the settings and the feel it takes to drive at this level. Time to regroup and get more experience in a lower division.
The problem is exactly what we all see is she isn't going to get any better. That is what is killing her shot. Look at ARCA and all the other female driver who are doing very well.
Even if she is the one who brought in Airbox, maybe they are the ones pushing for changes as they are not paying for a car running at the back of the pack.
