I think one of the reason humans carry for ten months is because we can’t physically birth a child that would develop any further and get larger. So we do birth earlier that other mammals but that’s why we don’t walk right out of the womb because the bones and ligaments aren’t even fully formed yet unlike when animals are born they’re so much larger and further developed and ready to go! I don’t know if that makes any sense at all but I saw it once on a show and kinda made sense to me!

I study biomedical science and i learned how next gen sequencing works etc but yes designer babies do exists! In Belgium it’s illegal to pick and choose for fentotype and for some diseases such as diabetes (so picking the embryo that has the least chance of developing it). In the US and i think in the Netherlands too, it’s not illegal and ppl will pay thousands of dollors to have a girl embryo or the one white blue eye cause you’re able to analyse every gene of that embryo… With CRISPR you can also design your “perfect” baby, you can delete and insert any gene you want, and have a white kid with 4c hair type. Is it ethical? No, but it is possible. A doctor edited genes of a twin embryo using CRISPR so they would become immune to HIV. They’re alive, but not immune to HIV lol plus they’re now living with edited genes and CRISPR in them and scientists don’t know what can happen to them in the future.

school busses are built to be very safe there's no seatbelts cuz imagine 1st graders having to take off their seatbelt if the got in an accident and had to evacuate. and they are tested yearly to ensure they are safe. they are one of the safe vehicles out there which is also why people turn them into mobile homes cuz retired school buses are cheap and safe
