What was the name of the quad? I see a lot of old school quads at Walgreens. 😮

@@adrienneroxanne9833 The particular Maybelline quad I loved so much was available in the 80s and early 90s. It was from the Blooming Colors Boutique Collection. I actually found the name of the quad by looking up Vintage Maybelline quads from the 80s. There's an ad (from a magazine) featuring a model (she's wearing a brown hat with her hands placed under her chin) wearing the eyeshadow quad I used. It is pictured in the center of this ad. I think it was called Plum Frost. It had a smokey purple shade, a neutral taupey grey, a warmer bronze shade, and a light pink shade. I did look at all the Maybelline eyeshadows available now, and none of them are similar to the one I had. Hopefully, they bring it back one day! I wouldn't wear it now because of the frosted eyeshadows, but it was great when I was younger. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I did want to answer your question if I could. It was kind of fun trying to find it! : )

@@michellekelly2937 Ebay might have some but who knows how old the products are. I'm older and in a few years I am ditching any eyeshadow with sparkle or shimmers in them lol. As soon as I get 50 I'm switching over to all mattes. 🙌

Nothing has changed except that I use John Freida Frizz Ease Beyond Smoothing Immunity Primer now (I put it on after the Alterna CC Caviar cream) and then dry & style.

Lexi Hay I agree. I don't think tape in the under-eye area is a good idea at all!! I was surprised that she used that "technique".

If you like pinks you need to get Pür Minerals Mattes palette. It's $30 or $40 and is 8 pink and brown mattes. Swatch it at Ulta then sign up for the "club" at the brand website and you will get a discount code for an online order. If you don't want pinks get the matte nude palette from Sonia Kashuk at Target. It's $20 for 12 brown mattes, mixed warm & cool tones.

Lest I forget, ELF has a newish matte palette for $10. At least 8 colors, maybe more. Bailey B has a recent review. You will probably have to order it, I've not heard of anyone finding it in stores.

My daughter just turned sixteen, so I took her shopping so she could start experimenting (within reason) with makeup. I wanted to take her to Ulta or Sephora, but she was adamant about trying elf products. I did some research, I couldn't believe the rave reviews. I purchased some items to try myself, and I couldn't believe how much I liked everything, and the price is amazing! The only two items she didn't get from elf is the foundation and setting powder. She has extremely fair skin, and out of the six brands she tried only one didn't oxidize, and turn orange on her, and we tried drug store & high end., and the only foundation that worked was the Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin, and Bare Mineral's pressed mineral veil. We purchased all of her brushes, mascara, liners, blush, lipstick, ect from elf. We bought probably twenty plus items for what it would cost to purchase one high end palette. +Blaqueasian If you're looking for reviews on Skincare/makeup products, check Beautypedia.com. Click on Brands, and select "G" to find GlamGlow reviews. It's a great website, one I refer to often.

Comebacksparkles ! I don't mind the fact that they plug their own products because a lot of them are excellent. I've been using PC products for years. I like the fact that they contain a lot of great anti-aging ingredients but don't contain ingredients that are irritating/bad for your skin. They have a lot to be proud of IMO. It would be weird if they didn't plug their own products. That being said, I strongly believe that their reviews on other brand's products are completely unbiased. They look at a product's ingredients, claims, packaging, performance and base their review on those factors. They recently posted a review, here on You Tube (one of many), Beautypedia Reviews: Bobbi Brown Intensive Serum Foundation SPF 40. Here, Nathan gives a review of this product which you can clearly see is 100% honest and true. He doesn't bash the product by any means. He actually says it's an excellent foundation, except for one thing....it contains lavender oil, and lavender oil is one of the worst things you can put on your skin, especially if you're sensitive. The Beautypedia reviews are based primarily on ingredients. Why buy a product that contains very few beneficial ingredients or ingredients that can be harmful to your skin? I think Beautypedia is an excellent resource to use when you're thinking about trying a new product. I know there are some people who don't agree with their reviews. The IT Cosmetics CC Cream gets a one star (poor) rating because of the "potentially" irritating ingredients it contains. However, I know there are tons of people here on You Tube who love that product. Personally, I think it's worth taking a look at Beautypedia when you're considering trying a new product. At least then you're able to make a more informed decision as to whether or not to try it. Beautypedia is constantly being updated when new products are introduced. You'll find plenty of 4 star and 3 star rated products. I'm grateful to them for all the research they do. It's been extremely helpful to me over the years. If I'm going to spend my hard earned money on a skin care product, I want to know it's good and not just a lot of hype.

+Michelle Kelly I ask H&F for her review because she is always asking us, her viewers, for possible products that she can review for us. I trust her recommendations as well as her point of view. She uses a lot of similar products that I use as well.
