I have dry skin, but it works amazingly. I moisturize my skin and use hydrating primer, and it's flawless. Yes, it dries fast. So I definitely just apply in sections lol.

It’s supposed to be for oily skin. That’s why it dries fast. You need to work with it right away. Try to do it properly instead of complaining about it right as soon as it’s pumped on your backhand.
I think the thing with this foundation is the less the better, you applied a lot and maybe not with the correct technique, I bought it and actually worked pretty well using just a little, applying with the beauty blender and by sections and it definitely worked
Thank god. I thought I was the only one. 24 Hour foundation was the best foundation and maybe the only foundation which suited my skin. I loved it. But this 30 hour foundation is bullshit. I hate Maybelline for discontinuing the 24 Hour foundation.😢 I want it back
This is the most relatable review of this foundation I have come across. I have oily skin but it still did not want to blend at all, even if I work quickly it is difficult to blend nevertheless. It also looks extremely cakey on my skin, emphasizing pores and texture that are not usually noticeable. I do not like the feel of it on my skin either.

@@Vera111 I have never tried the 24hr version as when I ordered it online I was sent the 30hr version instead. I’m guessing because they reformulated it then, but it was not updated on the Ulta site yet. That made it even more disappointing :( because I was excited to try it knowing the great reviews on the 24hr one.
I don't have very oily skin, except for my nose or sometimes in the morning. Personally I find it does great, it's rly light and blends nicely as well as being transfer and water proof. The transfer and water proof part has saved me more times then you would think 😅 It's only bcs I can't find any setting spray lol but it works well for me. It can be abit cakey if you apply alot.
I think the old one looks cakey on me when I'm sweating 😭😭😭 it's crack so badly.. i think i wanna try the new one for a go.. I hope maybelline fix that.. 😪

I feel u girl 😭 I'm currently looking to stock up on it but is out of stock everywhere and the only shades I could find so far are the very dark ones .. their urban dream cover is good too but the coverage is not the same, it's pretty buildable tho. I hope it helps.
@@Vera111 Same here I only got one! Lol and thank you I'll check it out. I just loved how cheap it was and how well it blended with my skin. It's hard to find a full coverage foundation that works for dry skin because it creases and this one was perfect! I hope they think about bringing it back 😭

Currently Amazon is still selling the 24 hour one.. maybe you can stock up. I just got mine yesterday .I was wondering why the Activewear was so cheap...It was because they sent me the old bottle.
I got the same result too and i have oily skin. Some comments say “it is for oily or well moistrized skin” but i tried to apply on my skin many different ways, stiil got the same result. I live in turkey so this shit is expensive here, all my money went trash. Wish i watched this video before buy it :( Anyway, thanks for this video and you’re so beautiful ☺️

You use way too much first of all. You need to work in sections. Less is more. A little goes a long way. Idk. I just bought this so I’m gonna give it a go but I’m kicking myself for getting it now cuz others have had a hard time with it.
Your skin needs to be very well moisturized and because it dries quickly you have to apply it by sections. I have oily skin and I can’t live without it. Each foundation has its own way of being applied. This is unprofessional you talking trash about it like that. Maybelline did a great job. As a MUA I use it on combo skin with a good primer. Not good for dry skin .
@@Vera111 not always.. I've seen all size of sponges.. anyway, didn't say it with bad intention.. just seemed odd that the foundation didn't change when you touched it with the wet sponge (where it dried), that's all.
well because this formula dries faster and a wet sponge don’t help much.. that’s what I’ve experienced using this foundation. No worries I understand 🫶🏻
Great review, exactly what i think about the new formula and I totally loved the old formula. Was my hg for many years. At first I thought it was my skin but the new formula is just a big no no. Love your honest and straight up opinion.

@@Vera111 I got oily skin (with dry acne patches on the chin), that's why the old formula was amazing. Only one that kept my make up in place whole day and night during (sweaty) festivals and party's. But still the old formula also did great when I started tretinoin and my skin was sooo dry and peeling. Just had to switch primer. But with the new formula I did switch it all up and tried to get it to work, but couldn't let it work. Made my skin look dry as the Sahara and it broke down really fast as well and also the coverage is not the same and not blendable, just sucks... I was glad seeing your video that I'm not the only one. Now on the hunt for something like the old 24h formula but it's a pain...
I feel you babe, for me it worked beautifully even in the winter time when my dry skin is at its peek of glory and dry patches are living their best life .. 🫠

Hey babe, so the 30hr one is the same formula as the 24hr one but an improved version .. I have dry skin and the 24hr looks so good on my skin and it doesn't feel drying at all. I don't know what was the improvement in the new formula because it feels tight and drying on me. But probably you're right, this new formula is made only for oily skin but from what I saw there's mixed opinions on this. Did you find a full coverage replacement for the 24hr one? I was thinking of getting the loreal infallible but it looks like it oxodises a good few shades darker and prefer 1 layer of full coverage rather than buildable
Hi Kevin, the only full coverage that I have in my collection and looks similar to the 24hr foundation is the Double Wear from Estee Lauder (but in terms of wearing is not as good as the 24hr, in my opinion it feels heavy on the skin) and obviously the price difference .. idk why Maybelline did this 😖 I'm currently buying some backups cuz it's still available in some stores & amazon
I agree with u this new foundation is not gd I use it because I'm so use to the make up line from them but this Fondation don't mix well with concealers powders ect. On my face it starts like making my pores show bad and it doesn't blend well nor mix well with other foundations this is a no I hope they fix this fast
I never tried the 24 hour one but tried this. I had the same experience. It dries so fast, can't blend concealer, looks patching, feels dry, and emphasis pores. I want to like it and make it work but I don't like it. I felt like I had to use tons because of how fast it dries.
Yes, I feel u babe!! The 24hour version did nothing of what u described, it did dried fast but not as fast as the 30 hour one, like it was more manageable and in my opinion it had way more coverage!! This was a very bad move from Maybelline I’m so upset cuz it was my go to foundation, I have dry skin but somehow it looked flawless on me 😫
I don't understand this foundation anymore. It works one day and then it doesn't the other day. A few days ago it wouldn't blend with a dry sponge and today it didnt blend with a wet one 😭 what goes on idk
@@Vera111 skin could be the reason. Although i thought i prepped my skin well before that but I'm on acne medication, so it could be a reason. Will give it another try i guess
I bought one today . And its totally bullshit this is not full cvrg even its only a minimum coverage and very runny like water. And the pump is not good when I shake the bottle products come out from the pump. I wish I would see ur video b4 buying it . I m never gonna buy any Maybelline product again😢
