She wasn't in there with a ref, it was the Grim Reeper. Her corner should also be ashamed. Pretty sad when the opponents coach cares more about the other fighter than the ref or her own corner.
Them's the Entry Rules Foos! Fight stops: Fighter submits, taps out, knocked out, unable to defend themselves, stops fighting back or actively blocking, cowardice or running away, corner throws in the white towel, or medical. That's it for Any Type Of Fight!!
Rarely do I get angry watching a fight, but that ref should NOT be allowed to EVER step in the ring again! He let that poor girl take WAY too much damage and does not seem to realize that his primary purpose is for the SAFETY of the fighter! Mario Yamasaki would be proud.
I get everyone’s frustration with the ref, the rest of the question should be, why didn’t her corner throw in the towel, they’re at least some to blame. Ridiculous on both parts.
Her corner is Pat Barry who suffers from serious CTE and had to stop fighting because of it. I agree it was negligent on his part as well. She’s a talented girl she should be looking for a new gym if you ask me.
It’s the refs sole purpose to protect the fighters and she went down because she was already badly hurt, to let Macy pound on her for 30-45 seconds without her throwing a single punch back was ridiculous. I thought Mazzagotti’s incompetent ass was reffing the damn fight at the end.
Maycee is a beast! Both ladies are warriors and I really hope this ref was drunk! Over 35 unanswered shots and Perkins body language wasn't the same prior to those shots too smh.
Macy at her absolute best... Loved this fight and watching this absolute beast of a warrior with not only relentless attack but non-stop effective defense at the same time. I've been a huge fan for a while but this one is my favorite. Looks like she's living up to her "the Future:" name and looking forward to witnessing her future successes as well.
The thumbnail literally shows one of the fighters with her hand being raised in victory. Gee, I wonder who's going to win?? I'm just dying with anticipation!
That is incredible skill coming from a 19 year old. So mature and smart in every aspect of the fight. Not sure I've seen better grappling in the female arena. Great job.
Audrey Perkins in blue showed a lot of heart. Even though she was against a superior fighter, she didn't give up until the end. Kept going for submissions and strikes, took in all that damage and still had her head in the game, defended till the ref stepped in. Never got knocked out or submitted - mad respect. But she was sadly against a superior fighter
Been watching her since she was a young girl Teaching my Son in his upper 20's When they ran a Gracie school in Ft. Collins, Co. Keep up the good Fight Maycee awesome job.
I'm back to see this fight again. Feel this time that it was stopped at the right time. Part of this is how good Perkins survived the 1st 2 rounds. Also in part because she continued to do movements and such to deflect the onslaught right up until just before it was stopped, which was when the blows connected better.
"They weren't brutal shots".. 20+ in a row unanswered punches and elbows to the face.. leaving her face looking like hamburger meat.. Pretend tough guy (you).. that's nothing bro, I could take that.
