it's not that they're not famous, or popular, but as I like to say the fangirls haven't gotten to them yet. They have an older audience who doesn't follow ever single move they make. :)
They were kinda of well known for many years, they have had a good audience for a long time, they just don't have too much of a "fan base" like the kinds you see with other bands nowadays online and stuff, but they definitely still bring in the crowds at concerts and such.
Music like this (and related genres), in terms of popularity, has been on a steady decline for a few years now, sadly. To their credit, though, Mayday Parade used to be one of the front-runners of the emo/emopop scenes in 2009-13ish. If you take a look at their 2015 (and onwards) releases, you'll see that, compared to the viewership and reach they used to bring, they're starting to fall in to obscurity.

I love Mayday Parade so much, their music influences people lives and I think that's beautiful. They connect with the listeners so, if someone told me that Mayday Parade saved their life I wouldn't be surprised.

I love this song. So much. Partly because Mayday Parade is amazing. And also because this is MY song. It describes EXACTLY how i felt for 5 months. An older guy took my heart, told me he loved me, and took it back. He said he lied about it. My heart was crushed and all i wanted was him to say he loved me again, I was SO vulnerable during that time, I cried every night and I WAS weak. I didn't feel like doing anything. And I was in a long depression for 5 months until he said we were just friends

I agree. I've known about the band a while back and have songs I like from them, but just recently found this album and it's just soo powerful...top 10 album instantly for me(my friends making me make a top 17 albums list xD).

i listened to their old album like a 100 times and loved it, its soo different now! they use to have two singers now they have just the one idkk deffinatly different! but stilll gooood! the next one better be better though!

i love this song, nuff said about that. but with the video, i loved the shots of the band in the hot air balloon and the look and scenery of it was amazing, the actress not so much but other than that, love it!
This album was okay. It was definitely their sophomore slump, but I can see where they were trying to get with some of their songs. All the guitars and drums were good. Derek just needed to strengthen his writing style. Now we have an awesome self-titled album from these guys :)! Don't get me wrong. I'm not insulting them. I really like their music. I'm glad they went through this slump because it really made them into something great! With or without Jason. Both bands are SICK!!!

wow really impressed by this song :) Hadnt really like this band much except for the song josie all over, and didnt know if their new singer would be good, but this is just my type of music. Hope the rest of the album is just as good
