This video goes into a little more depth about the natural history of mayflies. Mayflies are a critical food source in freshwater ecosystems. If you see a large swarm of mayflies, don't be concerned. Adults don't feed, and therefore, can't bite. Mayflies only feed when they are nymphs in the water. Enjoy the video!
