Much respect to Atilla for always nailing it in the costume department. Dude isn't just a great vocalist, but an incredible performer, and the way he moves combined with his outfits really makes it all believable. Maybe to some this may sound silly, but to me, he is like a black metal version of Alice Cooper.
I dont think its silly. I get where you are coming from. Or I think I do. He is not just there singing. He is giving you a feel, an environment, an experience. He is a showman.
I love it when bands go all out on aesthetic. It’s not necessary, but man do I enjoy the full-blown role playing. I think it brings their performance to another level.

Ordo ad Chao is amazing and I think Wolfs Lair Abyss is an incredibly underrated album also. I have seen mayhem perform at least twice (several years ago now) but they basically only played DMDS songs. Would love to see more variety.

Him fir more than an hour, thenl we realised me and my mate were last people and there was nobody elvse I coild ask. He done it wirthout batting an eyelid. I know I'm an idiot but I often find myself wondering how things would've been if Dead wouldn't have died. You know, much like similar situations...Bon Scott, Morrison, Randy Rhoads, etc. When that certain one is taken out, it makes you wonder what could have been. I'm here to say now that I believe that this band,(Mayhem) has done nothing but progressed since those days of dreary nonsense. To date, Mayhem is at its highest form.

He would call them posers but Euronymous was a “poser” himself. At end of the day, it’s BM and it’s subjective! It’s a sub-genre that has other sub-genres. Take it or leave it, that’s the attitude no matter what part of the scene we’re talking about🤘🏻 *I was thinking the same thing though.
