How beautiful is it to have a full concert length version of this great great chart with a video to boot? This is when I was going to see Maynard a couple times a year. The best of times.
People always talk about the screaming charts, but this was also a soloists’ band. Half the time you’re hearing a great soloist with just the rhythm section-or part or all of the rhythm section dropping out.

I saw them later that year, and more than half the band was different, I'd say. Kirk, Fobbs, Valente, Yow, Drozdoff, Mancini, Maina were names I remember.
