his picking is off at times. it's kind of stupid to only downpick. he writes good shit though.

Yeah, im with you dude. It does add that tight punch i feel like. Myself being a huge Metallica head like Browne, who stated one of his heroes was Hetfield, riffing through Ride and Master tracks, and LOG's Palaces and Ashes albums really mashed it in my face on the significance of the tight-ness and thump you can get from down-picking. Im sure you know this as well bro, im not trying to tell ya shit ya alrdy know or be a snarky douche lol. He's gettin wore out though towards the end lol, the booze helped him through the finish line. Hell to be honest, for me, playing the Black Dahlia's 'Nocturnal' tracks, i have to down-pick a lot of riffs, becuase tryn to alternate pick some are just insanely hard lol. The chorus from What a Horrible Night, cannot alternate pick that to save my life. But i think it sounds better down-picked instead of alternate like its played.
