Glory years, when some teams only have one, two good year or none at all. It's crazy how some team win one super bowl and fans get the audacity to run they mouth like they always been winning.
I'm one as well. I love the Dallas Cowboys. But, to be honest, they don't really exist anymore and haven't for some time. They've been replaced with The Jones Family Cowboys, and that version has been a pain the ass to deal with since March of '94 when that ego-driven buffoon ran off our back-to-back champion head coach. It's been a clown show ever since. Bring on a new team to Dallas! I'm all for it.
Are you allowed to switch teams though? Wouldn't it be odd cheering against the Cowboys in a game? Especially if you've supported them for 10+ years, that'll be hard
Still need to work on geographical locale and screw "history" Dallas is an "Eastern" team? yeah... I don't think so. But hey look how long it took the NFC West to actually resemble teams from the western part of the country! At one point St Louis, Carolina, Atlanta & New Orleans were all in the "west"
it could work if they added 4 teams and realign divisions to be 3 6 team divisions. idk if thatll ever happen but im sure the nfl will consider it at some point
@@Mike__B what do you mean? They would fit in the AFC South in a realignment and out the Colts in the NFC Central where it would actually make a ton of sense geographically.
@@Mike__B Dallas has history with the NFC East. Those rivalries with the Eagles, Giants, and DC go back decades. Having them leave that division would feel wrong.
I'm surprised Texas doesn't have more teams. As big as football is in Texas, it makes sense to me. I'm even more surprised that LA has 2 teams when the locals couldn't care less about football.
I think the league forced a 2nd LA team bc they didn't want the Rams to have 12-19 mil people to themselves (depending on if San Bernardino counts as LA metro), but if they really wanted 2 thriving LA teams, they would've just put the Raiders there
@@iancypes5911 I think something kinda shady happened in that deal that resulted in two teams at the same time. I don't know what, but it just seems off to me.
St Louis is a historically horrible football market. I do agree with you on San Diego. The only probably there is California politics make it very, very hard to get things done, like building a stadium, for example.
@@FatTony0077 I thought Pro Football was about winning games, championships, and Super bowls, not accumulating money. Isn't that more the area of stock market trading? Maybe Jerry should stick to that if that's what he's interested in.
Jerry Jones is not into the idea of San Antonio or Austin getting a team, at all, so no way in hell he permits another team in Dallas. Also just feels like a bad idea given how entrenched the Cowboys are in Dallas. A new team in Dallas trying to compete with the Cowboys will do way worse from the jump than the Chargers have done in LA. At least the Chargers have an existing fanbase and history for decades they bring along - a new NFL team in Dallas has none of that and would be competing with a team with one of, if not THE, largest fanbases in the NFL. Makes way more sense to give San Antonio a team if Texas were to get a third team. A second team in Dallas would never grow out of the Cowboys' shadow
I can see why Jerry doesn't want a San Antonio team, the moment San Antonio gets a team, he loses the entirety of the south texas/chicano market to it.
Spurs attendance is still pretty good with a mediocre team, the AFL team they had for a summer had the most attendance for the league, makes sense for San Antonio to get a team
@@Kinogotiate Yeah, man, the Dallas Cowboys are significantly wealthier than the Oakland Athletics. Example: Oakland Colosseum- 60yrs old. AT&T Stadium- 13yrs old. Plus the 49ers and Raiders co-existed for many years. The only reason the Raiders aren't there now is due to the back asswards California business policies and taxes. Texas is completely opposite and 100% pro-business.
Austin is the nicer more burgeoning city, but if there was another team in Texas would they have fans or would they end up like the chargers? Are people gonna give up the cowboys?
We need is code for I want. Texas doesn’t need another team, California and Florida already have too many. Just throwing teams into over populated areas doesn’t work.
Make no mistake, we're sick of Jerry Jones and his entire family. We can't get rid of them, so the next best thing is to put our support behind another local franchise.
@@anthonygaertner2396 You're one of the fools who keeps pumping in money into his machine of failure. Also, Jerry hasn't done a damn thing for the City of Dallas. Last I checked the stadium's in Arlington and their HQ in Frisco. There was a time here in DFW when the people demanded excellence. If they didn't get it, then they didn't participate. Now it's just full of people like you who're perfectly fine with suckling at the teet of failure and mediocrity.
Oklahoma, Alabama, San Antonio, St.Louis, etc... Tons of places need a team. Maybe one day in the future they can do an expansion, that adds one team to each division.
Idaho and Oregon are also huge football states with no pro teams. Mind blowing they don’t expand to these hardcore college football states and decide to give LA and NY two teams
@@daniellucas6668 I'm not even a Bama fan. Tbh, no offense but I gotta dislike them. But and NFL team there I would probably cheer for (as long as the aren't in the NFC South)
Cowboys really struggling to continue being “America’s team” nowadays. Can’t be America’s team if you can’t even remain the only NFL team in your own city.
Their America's team for their popularity and yes im a Cowboys fan so imma go ahead and remind yall we still have more superbowls then most of yalls favorite team so let's calm down now lmao
Dude, I'm a life-long Cowboys fan and Dallas area resident. The truth is the Cowboys haters nation wide are what make that America''s Team thing what it is. They give that organization more attention and publicity than anyone else. Bringing in another team won't effect that one damn bit. In Baseball did the Giants, Dodgers, and Mets water down the Yankees? Nope. Have the Clippers, even with their recent success, ever pose a threat to the Lakers? Nope. If anything the rivalry the Cowboys would have with another Dallas team would in fact enhance their whole America's Team status.
Did you keep up with the MLB and the NHL for 2 years when both leagues had to be altered completely because of COVID lockdowns and restrictions... cost the leagues Millions ... no thanks Canada!
Very optimistic opening statement seeing as Dallas Metro is still a full 2 million people off Chicagoland Metro. When is the near future, 75 years from now?
@@micahjohnsonboxing6409 regardless of how fast people are moving there, 2 million people and the infrastructure to support said people aren’t relocating over night. It’s an optimistic statement at best. I don’t think you get just how dense a 2 million person influx is in the physical.
@@Jch434 We have the infrastructure. It's one of the many perks of being in a red state Also, it's vast and spread out here. Something fills up, then we just expand. Rinse and repeat.
Naw, Dallas is in the heart of football country. An AFC team that played in Dallas on Sundays the Cowboys weren't playing there would draw a lot of fans.
And just like the Lakers they'll be inferior to their "little brother" team. Clippers are far and away the best LA team. They went 4-0 against the Lakers WITHOUT Kawhi Leonard and Paul George lol
@@YKB461 I grew up in LA and it stands out when somebody wearing Clipper gear 😂 you can say what you want but the Clippers will never surpass the Lakers
Just throwing something out there, how expensive is it to go see the 'Boys? Would a second team allow folks out of price range a chance to see NFL games live?
Having only been to a game in Jacksonville, I can tell you 100% it will not be that much difference- people forget that nfl teams are business- it’s about profit. Personally I’ve got a die hard raiders buddy- I would go to Vegas for a game - but would never pay for any other game/place - it’s such a rip off vs the fun you can have at parties
San antonio is the biggest city without a football team so I would say that would make the most sense. Or maybe put a team back in St.Louis. I'm not a fan of two teams in one city to begin with because it just segments the market. New York is the only one in my opinion that makes sense because it's literally the biggest in the country. but not Dallas. They will always be the little brother team to the cowboys
Just for fun: „chances“ dont rly imply 0% Than you wont call it a Chance Right? But you are a cowboys Fan believing jerry every year. A guy who thinks he won superbowls or „hired the Winners“ Cowboys about to Go 4 wins this year haha
I was a cowboys fan for 25 years. I realized its a damn pageant show now with old man Jerry just doing what he wants. They clearly are blinded by the spotlight. I m all for a 2nd team
I feel like the most profitable move for the NFL would be to put a team in Toronto. No doubt the second Dallas team could be very profitable, but if the NFL is focused on growing world wide, where there’s even MORE money to be made, a solid team to represent all of Canada could be that, plus CFL is basically like a minor league, I’m sure a lot of die hard CFL fans would love to see some NFL talent on their side of the border. Just a thought.
That would destroy the bills market. Buffalo and Toronto are only 2 hours apart and Canadians make up a significant chunk of Bills Mafia. The bills are already a small market team, they can’t afford that competition
@@jayden7c The Commanders, Eagles, Ravens, Giants and Jets are all within 3 hours of each other and they are doing fine fan wise....well maybe not Washington lol
You people around the country have no idea how hated Jerry Jones is here in DFW. For some reason a lot of you actually believe we love and worship the guy. First off, no self-respecting Texan will ever love, much less worship, any hillbilly buffoon from the state of Arkansas. Secondly he's absolutely destroyed the legacy of our once proud and beloved Cowboys. That franchise is nothing more than that old fool's big boy toy, and we're fed up with it. Fed up with him. Fed up with his whole damn family. Bring on another team to Dallas! I'm 100% in favor of it and I'm not alone.
Cowboys don’t even play in Dallas , I never considered them a “Dallas” team like the Mavs, or Stars. They are just a Texas legacy team for the city less Yeehaw’s. Put the new team in south Dallas, put up a metro line there to have it easily accessible and I guarantee the city would rally around it. Everyone from California is moving to Texas anyway so just bring the Chargers too.....
I think they should go somewhere in the middle of Tallahassee and Mobile. It would basically be centrally located between Pensacola/Mobile, Tallahassee, Destin ,Panama City and Dothan. Biloxi, Birmingham and Montgomery are just a little further. The team would be SURROUNDED by A LOT.
Instead of giving another team to DFW how about you give a team to a more deserving city 4 hours south down I-35. San Antonio has been ready for a team for decades.
It's San Antone's own fault they don't have a team... No luxury suites in the Alamo Dome. That's the only reason the Saints or the Vikings aren't there now.
Austin dont want that crap. Should have seen the fight about not wanting a soccer team. It outside people wanting to bring on there based on making money. The home town doesnt want it.
If another NFL team was considering moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Sheriff Jerry Jones will let them know "This town ain't big 'nuff for the two of us!", lol.
Well if they did get a second team in Dallas they would most likely also play in Arlington just like how the Giants/Jets and Rams/Chargers share a stadium. You're not going to build another 2 billion dollar stadium when you already have one.
I don't think they'd build it in Arlington. The market is much hotter up north in areas like Frisco, The Colony, and maybe even Plano. This makes more sense. I'm a real estate agent in DFW so if anyone wanted to buy some land for a stadium. Hit me up for the deal.
The Texans would have no fans if they left Houston so I hope that’s a joke. If either Texas team weren’t so mediocre I don’t think there’d be talks of a 3rd success brings the most fans after all.
I don't know. Everyone in the Dallas Fort-Worth area are already Cowboys fans. I know it's a large market, but I doubt they will be able to flip enough fans to justify another team. I think a team in Austin would maybe do well.
Cowboys represent all of DFW. They were in Irving and now Arlington. With that being said Fort Worth deserves a team, so does San Antonio and Austin. Mexico City and A team for Canada too
Mexico would be extremely interesting... Especially from a contract perspective given the currency difference and tax implications for players that sign there...
@@Youngchuy2398 I also don't think a lot of players would mind living in Mexico... Chargers, Raiders & Cowboys have huge Mexican fan bases. Personally I wouldn't mind living in Mexico given the right circumstances.
Gotta report on bj penn, he’s running for governor of hawaii and basically promised to attempt to get hawaii an nfl team and a venue for the ufc to hold events
We don’t need two obnoxious fan base teams in Dallas. Don’t need two teams in one city in general, it’s so stupid. If the NFL wants a expansion team, I can think of 3 cities: San Diego St. Louis Salt Lake City
If they wanna grow the nfl why put another team in Texas? That’s not growing the pie, it’s dividing the pie up in smaller slices. Put a team in Canada grow the sport internationally. They do the same stupidity in rugby league. Claim they wanna grow the sport and then put another team in a rugby league heart land instead of putting it in a state that doesn’t have a team.
They have way too many Homeless people in Portland. And with their laws there, they would set up all around the stadium perimeter and mess up the flow of everything.
I’m fine with it. Metroplex is too big for most of us, so metroplexes are forming Around the metroplex. Super athletes all around DFW, worldwide cowboys fans And haters, I think there is plenty of room for another giant stadium and team to root for! Sad to think iowa doesn’t have a team BUT if you drive out there it’s practically a giant empty Home Depot 🤣
The first pro team in Dallas was the 1952 Dallas Texans. They were so bad, they lasted only one year. Attendance was so poor, they had to finish the season playing in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Akron, Ohio. They were disbanded, and their assets distributed to a new team called the Baltimore Colts. Their colors were navy and blue, and the Colts kept them.
I would take a 2nd team in the DMV in a heartbeat. I've watched the Sh!t show in Washington and pulled for the guys, but I have not given that man 1 red cent of mine in over a decade. I've held a memorial service for that current organization in DC
San Antonio doesn’t deserve a team. After going to the conference championship and the Alamo Bowl, the venue couldn’t even provide parking. It was a logistical nightmare. Until San Antonio could fix this, the city doesn’t deserve a team.
