I hope there’s an update soon about the High-Pressure fuel pump, Big turbo, and ethanol kit update for the 2.5 Mazda3 Turbo!!! I’m glad to see you back man🙏
Looking forward to learn about your trip to Japan. OEM ECU's even standalones nowadays, have Short Term Fuel Trim table (STFT) and Long Term Fuel Trim table (LTFT), and pretty sure they have these tables for timing also. As the ECU learns the corrections he's making it's store it in those table for quicker adjustments. From what I know disconnecting the battery a few minutes usually resets these tables. Food for thoughts.
I would love to see some 3rd Gen model information but I know the options are probably a little more limited. I am stoked to see your larger japan video! Mazda city sounds crazy 😂
Glad I found your channel! Thanks for all the information! With the tune and all upgrades(pump, spark, hose, charcoal filter delete) on my NA I'm loving the car! Recently took some friends and I hit the gas on an uphill on-ramp, got some Whoas! They thought it had a turbo 😆
I'm curious to see a video on the paddle shifter install. Everything looks pretty straightforward except for the wiring. If you do a video, please show that part clearly. Thanks for sharing all the info on the tuning and supercharger installation. I'm not ready for that because I'm still under warranty, but might make the jump when that expires.
Since you're done with power, I'm interested to see this new chapter for your car! Interested in the QoL upgrades you do. I have a Select Hatch, so I have a lot of things on my list. Edit: Balance is also key, prioritize that! Shoot, cut down to 3-day tune weeks if you have to 😂
Justin, what if you were to start doing these tests with bigger intercoolers in the turbo and supercharged cars? Wouldn’t that help cut down the temps significantly, thus helping times get even lower?
Your ecu memory revelation is wild. It would be interesting to know if you custom tune flash the car once, let the car “learn”, then flash back to stock, will the ecu then use those custom tune parameters forever.
@@supermazda3 I assume you’re adding fuel, and manipulating other parameters besides timing but maybe this ecu doesn’t allow that? PROPS to you for digging into this ecu. Not many people are willing to so far.
@@supermazda3 Ahhh I’m turbocharged and incorrectly made assumptions. Super interested in what you’re learning and sharing (thank you!) about tuning the ecu and making more power with this platform. I’ll keep monitoring your progress as I’m unsure about tuning mine since there are still a lot of unknowns. Plus it seems like we need a more efficient intercooler at minimum to produce consistent results without timing being pulled, and to my knowledge none exist unless they’re generic fitments. Have a great day and thank you again for sharing what you’re learning for our community.
I was wondering if you could talk about coil packs? I was reading on some forums about getting different coil packs, and I am just interested if it's worth it and how beneficial it would be. Btw i look forward to monday because of mazda mondays! Learned so much about my car. I am counting down the days of warranty seeing all this information! I'm also curious if we get some big turbo information. Thank you!
@nicksedlak5416 OEM coils pack is best. The ECU is calibrated for it. Do not change them. I made that mistake in the past & so did a few of my customers
Hey Justin, really enjoying my v1 tune and looking forward to the updated one you’ll be sending. I did the analog tach swap this weekend and I’m stoked to be able to do pulls now with a real tach, which I’ll be sending you soon, if for no other reason than to compare with the v2 tune. You def got me wanting to go back to Japan and check out Hiroshima. Looking forward to more about that.
Hey Justin . I need a tune for my 2017 Mazda 3. its restricted to 120.hp. Do you do remote tuning or is it only personal meetup. I live in scandinavia so US is a bit far':)
