Nice car mate. Beautiful countryside, too. I like Hungary. Touring Hungary in a good, well sorted car is certainly a good thing indeed. I noticed the tyre squeal in mild to moderate cornering, too. I figured it may have been an inferior specification tyre setup fitted, but that's very easy to correct with good, premium touring or performance tyres. Well done videos (Parts 1 and 2), hats off to you.

Absolutely perfection. That long right turn at the end of the video - no understeer or oversteer at all, just perfect balanced car. Thx again for the record :)

You can even notice the tyres squealing in the long right turns. This car is still very safe to drive with bad tyres because of the good weight distribution and therefore neutral handling, and it doesn't really lean to one side in the corners either. It's a pity that it has a recirculating ball steering and dependent rear suspension.

rotaryhungary Yeah i heard that, but obviously it seem like the corner wasnt even there, 50/50 weight distibution ftw. One thing bothers me on this car. When you are on 5th gear, going 90 - 100 km/h, the rpm`s are already very high. On long trip, mostely highways, there can be really bad gas mileage ang even for engine itself it isnt good. Im just counting day when i get home mine..so exited

If you consider that the rotors have 1/3 of the rotational speed of the excentric shaft, it isn't a high rpm at all, but it's advised to redline the engine occasionally. Going at ~120 km/h (according to the speedo) it will run at ~3500 rpm, and you should get around 12-14 l/100 km, which is higher than most of the same performance piston engined cars of that era, but not that bad. Fuel consumption can be horrible in the city and at very very high speed. It takes good overall engine condition, perfect carb/ignition settings and gentle driving to minimize it. The latter one is hard to manage.
