What would you do if you already cranked it several times with bad gas? Meaning, I've got bad gas into my fuel rail and injectors. Thanks for the video. I'll be purging my fuel lines this way. BTW if you need to drain the fuel tank, you can open it up by removing the back seat behind the drivers seat.

My 8 has been sitting for 9months do you think it necessary to drain the fuel before start? Or will I be fine

Thanks for this, my R3 was last filled up in October 2019 & done less than 30 miles since. I start it up every few months since & let it run until it gets fully warmed up & drive it round the block a few times but it still has a full tank which is now well over 2 years old. No problems starting as yet but I tried syphoning from the fuel filler but hit a stop immediately & didn't want to cause any damage by forcing it. I'm going to put the fuel in my runabout a few gallons per full tank so it doesn't go completely to waste. Will put some frsh fuel in the R3. The way you show in the video looks simple enough so will try that way. Thanks for uploading this otherwise I'd be stripping the rear seats down to get to the fuel pump otherwise. At least this will keep any spilt fuel out in the open & not all over the interior knowing my luck lol ;o)

Those iridium plugs last a long time but they do get grimey. I pull out the plugs and hit them with brake cleaner and a brass brush and run them a while longer before replacement. Were the plugs your issue this time?

Hey sorry I just now saw this comment- the plastic clip in this video holds the fuel line on and snaps it in place (almost like a pressure fitting)

Roger Robson for sure drain the old fuel! Mine was bad after a few years and I can tell a difference in how it idles and starts. Thanks for watching! If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Did you get it up and running and if so do you have a video, thinking on cranking mine over manually with some 2 stroke in the plug holes to maybe lubricate the rotor tips before trying to fire it up

@@rogerrobson1 sorry I didn't see this comment earlier. Yepp I got it started after I changed my spark plugs and wires. There is a video on it running under my "spark plug and wire change" video. Basically it was a combination of the old gas, weak battery and bad wires/plugs that lead to a severe flood. After I did a de-flood procedure and replaced all the weak components it fires up every time now!
