The "M" in mazel = Makom (place) - the "Z" in mazel = zman (time) - the "L" at the end of mazel = l'vra ( to be) - So the word Mazel is really an acronym for being in the right place at the right time - which is not luck, its being in the best place to receive flow from above. Nothing is random.
