No matter how much technical prowess a singer has, if you can’t imbue your voice with pain it’s not a good performance. And this had so much pain.

She’s such a tremendous performer. I’ve seen her many times. She was terrific in Chicago. Also I saw her in Trafalgar Square last year. West End Live. I got right down to the 2nd row and I’d say she was the most mesmerising followed by Zizi Strallen in Mary Poppins.

Great performance, but isolated from the musical itself, this is essentially a beautiful ABBA song. No complaints, though. 👍
