The latest Financial Times Global MBA Rankings had for the 1st time 3 European schools in the Top 10 - WORLDWIDE: INSEAD (France, n°2), IESE (Spain, n°3), and Bocconi (Italy, n°6)!! Honorable mentions to London Business School (UK, n°16), HEC Paris (France, n°17), and CEIBS - Chinese-European International Business School. (Shanghai & Zurich, n°20). All amazing options to consider!!
No MBA program is great for true entrepreneurship, Sergio! While a huge percent of MBAs end up as entrepreneurs, for most it's a second or third step because the MBA gives you access to amazing jobs you can't get access to otherwise and you need a high paying job to make a dent in your MBA debt in at least the first few years. That's the situation for most MBAs and the European schools are no different. In fact, they may be even worse because visa options for entrepreneurs vary widely across Europe, assuming you want to stay in Europe post-MBA and don't already have EU citizenship. Bottom line is any MBA program that has extensive course offerings in entrepreneurship will give you the food for thought and confidence you need to start a business one day, which includes ALL The top European programs!
Not all European business schools are recommended. In my experience, they are hardly helpful. You hardly learn about Europe. There are too many students from India and China, prc. I went to Germany and I guess it was not a good school for me. Yes, it was a big leap and I crashed into the wrong wall...I had no idea about such schools before.
Be careful of such bullies and cheats. I had no idea what goes on behind the scene. Best to attend school fairs and talk to the counsellors for insights. I did not know or had such options before.
