Thanks for your video - not sure if you knew, but Kellogg uses a video service called Kira and it only allows you to record once and automatically submits. So editing is not possible and it's also harder to have the flexibility to be outside. Other tips were great, though!

Indeed, this RU-vid video is about the prepared videos such as what you would submit for MIT Sloan, not the impromptu videos like Kellogg. We included Kate's commentary as an M7 adcom perspective on evaluating videos, not in relation to Kellogg's videos specifically.

Awesome video!!! I do have a question tho. If I'm more of an expressive person, can I show that in my video? Can I make small jokes? Or do I always have to keep it professional?

Using some humor can be a great strategy. Admissions officers could get really, really bored watching hundreds of videos in which nervous applicants give very factual descriptions of their backgrounds. Of course, the humor must be funny and tasteful, and you still need to cover some serious content in the video.

How many schools allow EDITED videos and how many want raw video recorded in one shot?

Because small details like this can change from year to year, I suggest reading the directions carefully on the application forms. Even if editing is allowed, it is a bad idea to edit heavily or in a creative manner. You -- not the editing -- should be the star of the video.
