About the second part of your comment, yes athletes just like any celebrity can influence elections even in India, and if cricketers started to advise people on whom to vote this 'journalist' right here would only be against it if they were supporting Congress or any other rivaling political parties, if cricketers were openly supporting Modi there would be no problem for the people running this channel, it's just like in the US if an athlete like LeBron for example says that he support Biden then Fox News will just say that he should 'shut up and dribble' but if it's an athlete that supports Trump then they would say it's just free speech.
