Eh...depends how they phrase it. "Hey I'm sorry to bother you, but your cooking smells so good, I was wondering if I could have some? Or maybe just the recipe?" is a different vibe then "you made me hungry give pancake"

As an Italian even just the thought of handing out the food in a bag is so wild to me. If someone knocked on my door like that they'd be invited in, seated, and I'd make them some espresso coffee to go with whatever they were having. No questions asked. If they're nice they're also invited to luch
