I use a commander set up for scouting, optics, vents and advanced reload. Having a heavy tank being able to act as an aggressive battle scout is glorious!! E.G Get to *the* hill on Thiepval Ridge, fight of contenders using hull down tactics, once won use hull down to fire into the open fields below. Same for the ridge in Ruinberg...
Thanks for the review Petty! I'm wondering, with all the new premiums coming into the game, how is this impacting the tech tree tanks? Are the top end tanks (M1A1, Challenger 2 etc) still competitive? If everyone is coming in with these tanks that have more pen, more armour, and are harder to pen - why would you grind out to the end just to be disappointed by the performance? Interested in your thoughts on this!
Chinese TD tier X should have been ultimate for the hardcore players that like playing tier X, most people just want to play cold war to grind massive silver income, who wants to play tier X and lose silver most of the time or get only a bit of silver. Plus there's already many great TDs in WW2, but still not so many tanks in cold war mode. Well imma probably skip mbt 80, even if it's 4k gold. If it was Thumper instead of mbt 80, for example, would defo get it tho.
GG 👍 Getting the 6k pass is a no brainer really yes you may get a Premium tank that isn't that good but you've then got a Prem tannk that could potentially make you gold if you get a duplicate 😊
I have 60 million silver 28k gold & 1000 xp converted but i have another 1k XP to be converted but will cost 20k gold this is not fair to the player almost £74 to convert 1000xp to frree xp is really bad towards us players. I spend enough kind regards Lisa
@@Petty360 HI PETTY I spent 2300 Xp converted all Gold All Silver to research to get to a tank called M1A2 ABRAMS its a real good tank I went through tge tree T34 picked up a 13 shot ATGM on the way. But 60 million silver would have cost to buy £300 I've spent enough deleted my credit card from ps5 because its gone crazy all that for 1 line in cold war. You said you try out tanks sample how can I sample a tank. Anyway I foolishly open more Tank box's 📦 📦 📦 📦 I got T32 A PROTO an American 3 shot autoloader I also have the m45E the better 3 shot auto loader so didn't need it. Kind regards Lisa
I’m gonna bust the statement “pretty good heavy tank” It’s not. Obj477A is the real heavy tank in this mode. Yeah, I know it’s old news. And yet, that’s the only tank that feels like a heavy tank in Cold War. This feels like a sluggish medium. It doesn’t bounce nearly as much as a heavy tank should. It can’t bounce itself really, let alone other tanks with 700+ pen.. it’s kind of sad what they keep doing to the game at the moment… Also 80 burns like hell. Any tiny shot to the back and it’s on fire nearly guaranteed. Feels like the fire chance is 80%.
@@carlosfabian4900 first of all, not a rookie, trust me. Second, if a heavy tank in Cold War cannot bounce its own standard shell frontally, it doesn’t have pretty good armor. And this one doesn’t. It has a huge weak point right in the middle of the upper plate that’s penned by anything, including HESH. Two, its turret is also bleh. Third: since there are tons of tanks at its era, that have 600+ penetration for premium rounds, and most are actually APCR of some sort, this thing does not bounce many of those shell at all, regardless of angles and such. Forth: out 10 first battle I played in the tank, in 8 of them, I got set on fire on the very first shell that the rear side and rear of the tank. 8 out of 10. That’s 80% which is also the number in its name. It burns more than 292. At least not from the front, but it burns like crazy. Fifth: 477 is broken. Never said it wasn’t. What I said is that 477 represents a better heavy tank than any other tank in the game, which funny considering it’s a TD, not a heavy. And yet it has a damn good gun and insane armor. The kind of armor that should be on a heavy. The 80 is slow too, its track traverse speed is horrific for what it is. It’s not mobile, yet it has barely any real armor. So yeah. My point stands completely. Maybe next time try to actually understand what people are trying to say before you come at them. You’re free to check my stats if that’/ your cup of tea, but I bet I have at least of them higher than yours..
Tbf I usually do say that Classes mean nothing in Era 3 especially. Since they're all MBTs and Heavy/TD/Light/Mediums don't exist anymore. (universal tank doctrine) But it's just a balanced tank. Does some things well others not so well which is a good thing

@@gavriushkafrontally??? The whole point of this tank is its a alternative to challenger 2 instead of strong front armor it has strong side armor. It can easily bounce 900mm pen if u angle right. Molot would feel like the only heavy tank if it wasnt also fast af faster than bradley,merkava,magach...
70 has far more mobility and meme potential but no armor, 80 is still fairly mobile and has very reliable armor and a more consistent gun. Personally i'd chose the 80 since it's more in line with my playstyle
80s more your typical MBT in Era 3 can brawl a bit has good gun but sluggish mobility. 70 has good mobility and meme factor with high alpha/machine gun. 80s probably better overall
@@Petty360 see that would be a fair point if the OBJ 292 wasn’t in the game that was a season pass reward not even ultimate season pass. This tank may be balanced but it’s not fun at all, like at all it’s the most 5/10 tank like I said ever. You could just get the FV tech tree line or the Abrams line and they play so similar it’s kinda sad. Then if you own the leopard 2A5 it just kinda trumps this tank in almost every way except alpha damage. I just think the rewards should have been swapped this season, give the Chinese as ultimate and MBT should be rank 100 just my opinion of course
Yeah I don't like that it's kind of slow the mobility compared to other tanks like I could see it getting circled by the object 292 a lot The gun on the object 292 can just go straight through its armor just from auto aiming probably
