In this clip from People's Party, MC Eiht talks about how Tupac originally had the role of Sharif in 1993's 'Menace II Society.' But because he was outspoken about not liking the character, he was fired, and the part went to Vonte Sweet. MC Eiht speculates that Tupac was intentionally given a role he'd hate to drive him away from being in the movie. He then goes into his artistic relationship with Tupac and criticizes Tupac for connecting with gang life in LA, seeing that as a step back for the rapper since he had already made it through that struggle and was a success. Full episode arrives on Monday 3/9 at 9AMet/6AMpt.

Terron Hastick I don’t think he was fascinated necessarily because his previous crew Thug Life was mostly CRIPS. It’s just that 2pac was so down for thug niggaz that he just couldn’t do some shit like avoiding all the Pirus on Deathrow. 2pac wasn’t the type to do some lay his vocals and then dip to some mansion in Hollywood and never kick it with the hood niggaz. 2pac’s personality wouldn’t allow that.

Terron Hastick you have a point tho too. 2pac was loyal to a lot of people and he often got the short of end the stick. In his 96 interview with sway he told a tale of how biggie and his crew left hella guns in the hotel room and 2pac took the charge for them! This when he was cool with biggie and Junior mafia. He was giving them train fare and let biggie sleep on his couch 😂😂 so yeah you’re right about the loyalty thing.

He’s very right ..Pac thought that there was strength in numbers, so a group of young brothers that had the potential to be united and do some good..was something that grabbed him. He didn’t get into any religious groups because he felt that they had a stench of corruption because many of them were seeking political acceptance which Pac was pretty much anti-government in its historic representation of the people. So he was naive to think that he could form a new black kingdom out of violent beginnings. He underestimated the jealousy and the fact that to them, he was either Crip or Blood..so the most prolific rap artist of all time..at just 25yrs old, a living legend) was taken away from us like a common gangbanger!! He mentioned through out his whole career how he thought gangs could be turned positive and be organised. He mentioned in the Malcom dinner speech that gangs that were killers had to go. He was campaigning from neighbourhood to neighbourhood to try and do something about the violence. He was not scared to take gangs on, he did it for Treach, he did it to them dudes who killed that kid etc. Pac had more heart than any of these haters. Let the lad rest in peace.

A 100% agree with EIHT! I’m a big fan of PAC’s work but I’m a bigger fan of his work before joining Death Row. I personally believe he would still be with us if he stayed in Oakland with Shock G and Digital Underground. Still making movies and music. The world would’ve been a different place. RIP PAC!

I agree with 8 100% pac felt like since Suge reached for him & put him back on that he felt obligated to be all the way down with the Death Row Movement until he started looking into his finances & shit wasn't adding up pac was kicking out Double disc albums everyweek while he was under contract with Deathrow & probably didn't even own his Master's too his own Work that he put in so now he's in it too deep to just walk so let's just kick out how ever many albums agree upon & let me do my own thing like Dre did let's face it pac wasn't going to stay with Deathrow and Suge spoon feeding him too Death & loyalty got him knocked he was in too deep with the movement R.I.P. Salute to Eiht always keeping it real. Pac was young 1st of all. Pac was loyal, he was moved around a lot. He had no roots. He had no family structure. If u asked him where hes from, its where hes at. Its either NY, Baltimore, The Bay, or LA. And here he is in jail, confined , a little scared, lonely , etc and here comes Suge not anyone else to bail him out. Now suge is definitely not the best guy to be around but he helped alot of those artists. Helped Dre get out his shit, helped Snoop not go to jail, and many artists on death row. Suge saved alot of people. So here he comes with his MOB family to bail out pac. Man the rest is history. Pac was just loyal to who came and got him out that situation. If suge was a crip, he would have repped that. Now should he have not been on the front line, hell no. And like Mob James said Suge should have protected him more. Hes the golden ticket. Hes worth more $$ than everyone else. Let the goons handle that. But telling Pac to chill was very difficult at that time. Honestly he was safer with DU but like i said Suge was the one who bailed him out so he had to roll with them. Stay in jail or sign a 3 album deal? You can say what you want but Everyone on here is taking the Deal with Suge

People make mistakes. It's not that he was misunderstood, but rather certain people who love him don't like to embrace the idea of him taking missteps. He was only human, and humans don't always make good judgment....especially at 25.
