MCA Aneurysm Treatment: Stent-Assisted Coiling Technique 

A challenging case of left MCA bifurcation aneurysm. There's almost circumferential involvement of the lower division of the MCA. We could have done balloon-assisted coiling, but we have seen that the recurrence rates are high. In the selected group of patients, with lower-grade SAH, a stent-assisted coiling in the acute stage can produce a very good occlusion and a more durable result. In our experience, a single stent with shelving works very well.
