I live there crystals everywhere. Just got to look. Especially after it rains. A place near by called crystal ridge you can find them on the cliffs as big as your arm.

@@NicholetteBrianyou guys are interested in upgrading your video editing skills? I do all of my editing on a Hackintosh that I built 2 years ago exclusively for video editing. IDK what software you currently use but i use Final Cut Pro X then you're really missing out. It's like 10 steps above anything else on the market and it's super easy to use.

Youre passion is admirable! IDK where you guys hail from but I'm from down in kulpmont. I have a Facebook group called Hard Coal Hardcore that's slowly gaining in popularity and I've been DYING to to take a ride up to McAdoo to spend an afternoon filming a rock hounding expedition. I wanna do it on a Wednesday so I can leave early and hit up hometown for a few hours before I go get filthy lol to be honest, I began collecting native american artifacts about 2 years ago and to say that I'm obsessed would be the understatement of the century. im dead ass when I say that I never fail to fill the back of my jeep up with all kinds of museum quality finds. I'm actually working with the Delaware Nation in Oklahoma in order to return all of the artifacts that I find back to the people that they belong to so I don't mind being obsessed if it's for a good cause lol
Where can I find places like these in McAdoo? I've been doing a ton of research but haven't necessarily for addresses or anything like that. I'm nearby and was hoping for some direction?
there's a watertower near 1000 tresckow road. find a place to park on the side of the road and then walk north into the woods. you'll come to a canyon and just start digging around there.

We just were at Mohawk Valley Mineral Mining for herbs a couple weeks ago! It was great there but we deff want to try soul family too! Glad you are having a good year rock hounding.

Was there a 2 months ago didn't see any signs posted there was people minning the pit there was also people mining the side of the railroad and there was also people driving down the side of the rail roads blasting music. Lots of people go there if you get in trouble being there you have to be doing something stupid .
Yes, it is and its one of our goals this year but we have to wait till we drive out to the diamond mine. This video we mined quartz but we go for a variety of minerals and want to find opal, beryl (emerald, ruby, sapphire,) amethyst, Diamond, petrified wood, gold etc.. We are taking it step by step and learning as we go!
I always wondering if there was gold where there is quarts in PA and have found “fools gold,” but never gold! It’s in the list to mine and get a claim for gold in the future
@@NicholetteBrian I have a lot of gold knowledge and many many samples of a huge area , Ive found coal mines close by and incredible giant quartz vein .
There’s millions on creeks that have gold in pa , and it’s a fact with fools gold there’s real gold with it , and there’s also mica another fake gold @@NicholetteBrian
Yes we have had disappointing times at McAdoo for sure but every visit was a learning experience and helps us grow! We hope to find another pocket soon - we haven't had one at McAdoo since last year but this was our first visit of the season!
If you looked for hours and didn't find anything that's sad look for large rocks and flip them over the quarts are everywhere. I've gone there twice both time leaving with a backpack full of quarts clusters . You definitely didn't look hard at all if you don't find anything.
Part of the McAdoo journey is driving up there and finding out where everything is! Every person who has been to McAdoo had to go through that journey of driving around to find out a good spot for them to dig. Nicholette researched for a couple days before we went and looked at maps to figure out where we should go! Hope that helps and good luck!
