"The Exterminator" director James Glickenhaus returns to Vietsploitation land with "McBain", a 1991 film about a group of middle-aged Vietnam vets (led by Christopher Walken) who attempt to liberate Colombia (!).
Part exploitation movie and part "message film", "McBain" isn't quite sure what it's trying to do. The result is an "Expendables"-type adventure featuring a team of middle-aged mercenaries blowing sh*t up -- while condemning war and dictatorships.
Join Dash, Carlos, and Telly as they try to unravel the cinmatic enigma that is "McBain".
About the Shoot Punch Kick Podcast
A nostalgic journey through 80s and early 90s action, horror and sci-fi films, Shoot Punch Kick! is the place where we overthink and overanalyze the best (and worst) from the Golden Age of Genre Cinema -- from blockbusters to B movies and everything in between.
