I’d like Rhienbacher and Hudson to start the season in Laval playing together. Get that chemistry going early. At the dead when we sell off a couple price then bring them up.
Id start Hutson in the show so he can get used to the NHL pace right away and let Reinbacher be the general in Laval, then reunite them when we trade Savard and have Xhekaj with Mailloux 2nd pair to finish the season
It is ridiculous some media, podcasters and fans are down on Barron given he is only 22 and has played less than 100 games in the NHL. Syd Crosby rates him so good enough for me! Barron is NOT the next Larry Robinson and will never have his physical presence however if you compare ONLY their offensive contributions through their aged 22 season, Barron had 30 pts in 94 games and Larry 32 pts in 114 games. Obviously there are more detailed analytics. However it is important to remember that Larry broke in with Savard, Lapointe and Laperrière whereas Barron does not have those type of players around to shelter him so suggest patience and cut the guy some slack. If he doesn't pan out he can be included in a trade.
I personally don't see any problem in having all three of hudson, mailloux, reinbacher in laval to start the season at least until the trade deadline. It would give some time for reinbacher and Hudson to play together in professional hockey and work on their chemistry. That way you don't have too rush into trading a dman to make room and you can get all your d currently on the team more minutes. If they earn a spot (hudson in particular) and can prove they belong then sure they deserve it and you can trade a dman to make room. Should be interesting to see what transpires.
Habs have to many defensemen hopefully harris struble and barron really step up this year so they can build great trade value. 10 D on contract this year is a lot
so glad Ghule FINALLY put pen to paper.. now we can stop the Trade speculation.. or some wondering if he's a key piece going forward. no, it doesn't necessarily mean he can't be traded. but this management team is 100% committed to him long term. imo, he is a legit top pairing Dman. okay, maybe a 3, 4 on a championship caliber team. regardless, just really happy he is signed. :D Barron, Xhekaj, and Ghules all deserve extensions.
Arber making less than barron shocked me, xhekaj deal was best. Surprised only 2 yrs and so cheap. He's a big piece of rebuild ..hope he has a stellar year and gets a big bump and extention in year 2 of contract.
Guhle greattt, we all know his maturity and leadership, lets not forget at 21 played against top lines,22 on his wrong side, so obviously focusing on his d, i think his o side will blossom now
dont have a bad thing to say about Jake Allen... the guy is a class act. ouzes character.. just leader in every sense of the word! .. Allen is everything you'd want in a Goalie Tandem. i'm sure Sam Montembeault would echo that same sentiment. 🥰
... there were times last season, Allen would be sitting on the bench.. while Monty ran with the #1 role.. even at a point he was in the press box as oddman out, but he never did complain about playing time.. he was still there for the boys.. just a Consummate Pro. and ultimate team player.. Love the guy and have alot of Respect for Jake.
@@Julio-v1c He isn't waiver eligible unlike Xhekaj Barron or Harris and is definitely not "established" so there is a decent chance he gets sent down. That's what he's on about.
Hughes is strong on developpement , hired a whole staff, won't bring reinbacker or hutson not ready for 82 games nhl level, i see right side for this year,savard barron harris maybe mailloux, left matheson guhle xjekak, strubble spare with a rotation with harris and xjehak occasionally, no rush, let others gain experience in laval
I agree, But not when it comes to Hutson.. He thinks the game at a very high level and he will be with the Habs this season in my opinion, He played against a Detroit team who was playing hard two games in a row and Hutson produced and didn’t look like he didn’t belong… It’s a small sample size sure, But I believe he will start in the NHL it could be possible he goes to the AHL during the season but I think he will be in the NHL more times than in the A…

@@RiseFromTheAshZ you are right of course but I just wanted to provide a positive about him. He is great for a locker room and will be a reliable but not outstanding NHL defence man…in my opinion. Unfortunately he is not fitting on this team and waivers just makes him expendable
Sorry Grant, but you're out in left field about Harris playing on the Right side. His shot is a joke, he's too easily pushed around, and he's a liability in our zone, especially at the crease.
A reminder shortly after lame coach St.Louis blamed Arber for a loss Slafkovsky had back to back games 2 very poor penalties and Stlouis made an excuse saying he was just a competitor but he did not afford that same excuse for Arber.So this tells me we will have a problem with St.louis you need to ass kiss him ore he will bench you or send you down.I can't stand hypocrites and we don't need one as our coach. This idfentical situation happened with the coach and Subban and after that Subban's game went downhill and it created a riff a platform for others on the team to start bad mouthing Subban as well like Josh Georges.These gysy and the coach need to stick by each other and not throw guys under the bus.
Nailed it. Marty is soooo overrated it's not funny. He's in way over his head. Honestly, sometimes he prattles on and makes no sense at all, him and his "concepts", it's painful, like listening to a Gender Studies graduate.
Guhle is way over rated he is good at nothing.Guhle is not great at penalty killing or the PP his shot is average his skating is ok he does not rush the puck all that well and he is not highly skilled in and out player either he is just very very average. Savard is a bum Barron is a bum we need to quit over rating players based on a bottom team's assets and look at it from a top end team.I do not see ANY D other than maybe Matheson as being great killing penalties because he can rush it out himself but the rest of the D core are sketchy defensively because they get very little help from the inept forwards. I guarantee this team is already set it would take a player playing like Gretzky or Ray Bourque to make the roster. Slafkovskly was awful his first training camp and he made it Guhle was barely good enough in preseason but I guess he made it because this was a last place team your competition is not that good. I would have locked up Arber at 6 years 3 mil they low balled him and it will take much more to keep him in 2 years.
