Thank you so much for this! I had just been admiring your blouse and trying to find the video that had you wearing it, so I could ask the same question. Having the pattern number AND a tutorial is better than best. BLESSINGS!
Thank you for sharing your easy-to-follow and understand video tutorial. You have empowered this very new beginner sewer to believe I can do this, of course, with your video put in the queue for visual reference.
I love your sew along tutorial for MCCall’s M7742 pattern , it is so easy to follow the tutorial steps. I will buy this pattern and try to make the dress following your tutorial video👍🏻. Thank you very much ❤
I just wanted to say thank you. I have tried sewing shirts for myself at least 5 times and ended up disappointed and frustrated. I made this top and followed your video and I couldn't be happier with the results. Finally I can have shirts in my colors instead of hoping someone will make them, thank you so much!!
I continue to admire and plan, even while I wait for the right timing to sew this! It is a perfect pattern for an advanced beginner like myself - no sleeve fitting or fastenings. :) I also think that it is perfect for a small shouldered, hourglass shape when made in soft fabric and tucked into jeans or skirts. What a versatile cut, which would suit many figure types other than mine. Your taste, as always, in choosing and making these useful and approachable tutorials, is exquisite.
I love how it turned out! You make it look so easy! I am happy I can make mine following your directions now. I was planning to make the dress but I am curious to know your thoughts about it. Thank you so much,Sarah for sharing with us.💗
I made one with double gauze in knee length and I didn't like it as the skirt is too roomy as well as the sleeves! If you like the sound of it or plan to make a mini dress, I think you can go for it! :) And let me know how you like it when you're done!
Love the jumper shown with this blouse in the intro video, gray-black color. Please reply with details on the jumper. Already made the big sleeve blouse. Love everything you share!
Thanks for sharing. Love your tutorials. This style is amazing but will it suit someone with bigger bust ? Also is there a pattern for the black dress ?
Thank you for watching! The design can create more voluminous silhouette, but this effect can be minimized or enhanced by your choice of fabric imho. And the dress pattern is Ora Pinafore by Soften Studio.
I love your videos! So informative!! I’ve been sewing for a long time and still learning new things everyday! By the way your nails are gorgeous! What color is that nail polish? Desiree’
Hello Sara, I love your videos! I have a question about how to shorten the pattern to make a blouse. Did you shorten it from the bottom or from the line indicated in the pattern? I followed the line and the width of the front and back pieces didnt match the yoke. I adjusted it, but I think it made my pattern wonky? Can you please share how you did yours? Thank you!
Thanks for giving your measurements at the end of the video. I bought this pattern right after watching your tutorial and want to make the top, too! 😊 I have two questions: 1) I'm 5' 1 ½" tall. Even though I'm a bit shorter than you, how much length did you remove from the dress to make the top? 2) My high bust measurement suggests I should make the size L and bust measurement for size XL, although I bought pattern envelopes containing all sizes. Would you recommend sizing down for this pattern if one wanted less "poof", or do you think it's best to make the size for one's measurements? I was thinking of even sizing down to a size M....🤔 Thanks! 😊
I’m sure you would love your M7742! Okay here are my answers! 1. It’s totally up to the length of your upper body and your style! I usually tuck the top into the bottom so I tend to leave the length of the top longer! And I normally make it long and adjust the length at the last step after trying on! 2. I suggest you to go with size L and shorten the width of the skirt for less “poof” !
Hi Sara, What is the dress you were wearing at the very beginning of this video, the orange colored one? Is it MacCall 7969? Thank you! It looks beautiful and comfortable!
@@SewingTherapy I am in the middle of making this pattern, M 7969. I am deciding if I should use interfacing for the neckline. My fabric is light weight linen. Did you interface your neckline for your dress?Thank you!
@@SewingTherapy thank you. But I have been looking at this pattern now over a year at their website but they only have the standard pattern, they don’t have the digital pattern unfortunately. Please let me know if I can the pdf pattern from anywhere else Thank you
Hi, I'm wondering if you have altered the width of the sleeves to make them more puffy? I asked because other people's photos of M7742 they sew on Instagram seem to look less poofy than yours. Personally I like it really poofy like yours. I'm considering buying a pattern too, but I don't want to have to alter it. I'm lazy and I reckon if i have to make changes to a ready-made pattern I might as well draw one myself following your other video for wide sleeves:) Thank you! Have a nice day!
