That Mcormick punches seriously above its weight, in other YT channels featuring other brands double the kilowatt plus mfwd is needed to pull that size planter

Man that seems way bigger than a 112 horse tractor. Was a little surprised by that. There were several McCormicks around here when they came out. They were kind of a blip on the radar. Got a big sales push as cheap horsepower right out of the gate then as fast as they came on the market they seemed to disappear. There is at least one still on a dairy farm here but that’s about it. Are they even still building tractors?

We used a small McCormick international for a small garden for many years. I still have the little tractor 🚜

I can't say I've ever seen a McCormick tractor out in western Nebraska, but I sure recognized the lights and front end, look very similar to my Case 340 Magnum I use to plant corn and Milo with a case ih 1200 pivot transport 16 row, great looking set up and beautiful looking field with nice views it looks like up in cheese country, keep the good videos coming!

Great to see a Doncaster built 2wd in the states. I used to sell McCormick for a Claas dealer in the eastern part of the UK as we didn’t have tractors then. Also been to what was the factory in Doncaster, sadly which is now houses. Don’t see many tractors of this horsepower in 2wd so Thankyou for sharing Jason.

For the Case guys, losing Doncaster was like IH losing Rock Island. It was not received well in Racine to adopt Basildon tractors in red, especially when it was the MXM……

Was it my imagination, or did that 135 look like it had a lot of wheel slippage? Like that 12 row was a little big for that tractor? It was in a fairly high gear tho. Actually what do I know about it? I'm just ranting out loud! Good video Jason.

The MTX uses an Iveco according to the sales brochure. The Case IH MX 135 used a CDC engine.

Some did, my cx95 has a Perkins some of the newer bigger ones had the iveco. Funny thing I have a newer case IHC funny thing I have a newer IH 75c that has a 4-cylinder iveco turbocharged engine in it good tractor

@@guydaubenspeck9206 very cool on the CX95. Fiat owns IVECO and Case IH. All Case IH tractors today from 40 to 715 Hp use IVECO engines labeled FPT/Case IH. FPT stands for Fiat Power Train. They are also used in New Holland machines.

Perkins was optional on MTX. We purchased a MTX 135 brand new and specc'd the iveco engine over the Perkins for better cold starting here in MN. Been a great tractor nearing 8,000 hours trouble free.

Southern Illinois, Indiana and Ohio seem to be the limit but yields in those areas are not as strong as southern Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri for double crops.

Good question. This used to be the main way to plant straight corn rows across the field. The marker draws a line in the dirt and the tractor follows it on the next pass. With GPS auto steer many farms no longer need the marker. Some still like the old way. The markers are hydraulic you can either have them on separate valves or a valve on the planter will drop the one side and switch to the other side next time.

@@DarrenShaw-ev5tb yes you drive down the line with the middle of the tractor. A lot of tractors came with a little piece sticking out the center of the hood for that purpose. Now you have to compensate for slopes because of gravity will cause the planter to not follow you perfectly unless the planter is a 3pt style hitch then it can stay in line with the tractor.

Please show more "Big Tractors". Especially the real farm guys do not want to see such old unamazing stuff... All of these points together make your videos great: 4WD 200+ hp Newer than 2010 -> Like in your last video about JDs... All those boring machinery like the one in this video brought me to unsubscribe. BR
