Very cool interesting setup between the diffs and the brakes! You just know it has to be a major improvement once you get it dialed in! Plus the disks and calipers just look awesome 😂😂. Thanks for sharing your awesome rigs with us!
It’s a proper smart setup, nicely done MCDs are the best quality 5th scales in the market these days, I like these carbon fiber parts from bonehead rc on your car, brilliant job LANCE 👍👌
I’m lookin to get back into the hobby and 1/5 scale is the way I wanna go. I’d love to see a build sheet on this so I know what to get it’s been years but I was last in 1/10 and 8th scale
Are the brakes made for the Duox and you’re putting them in the XR5? Seems odd for MCD to design something that doesn’t fit without grinding down the arm
No the brakes are made for the xr5/xs5. The alloy arms were not made for the hydrax brakes because that accessory came later on. The new alloy arms(V2 per say)do not need to be modified. Just like the original radio tray didn't accept the hydrax either. A new tray was made to accommodate the hydrax brake cylinders and servos.
Nice setup, I have hydrax too. Been looking for a video on how to bleed the brakes and refill mineral oil, can’t find anything. Do you have any pointers?
Thanks. I haven't had to do that yet. Mine came pre-bled from Cardinal Racing and they have been working perfect. Have you checked the Cardinal Racing support pages?
Thanks for the reply, I’m in Australia and looked at the MCD racing pages here and o.s. And couldn’t find anything. I mucked around a bit with it last night and worked it out. You crack the nipples at reservoir and caliper then use one syringe with tube attached to fill and the other to draw out at the same time. Will check out the cardinal site too for future reference. Appreciate the response. Love your rig looks awesome. 🏎️🏎️🏎️🙏 Mine came pre bled too, but had to remove one line temporarily to fix an arm. Ended up with a bubble in the line and they became spongey.
I want to get into 1/5 scale but I'd imgonna have the time keep it simple start with 1/8 and if there's enough time themget an mcd rr5 ultimate ,out of all your cars that's myfav, outta curiosity what's the biggest engine you would advise putting in an mcd if you wanna send it?50gt?65?
@@valentinmanus1355 I haven't seen it either. I've only seen for the rr5. You should get in contact with Maher to see if he has one to send you for the on road cars
