Thank you and much respect to you for staying true to your own opinion about the BTS meal and not getting persuade to hype it up. A meal should speak for itself, they shouldn’t have to pay or persuade people to speak highly of their food.

@@AnAverageMixedChick we’re called KBBQ and More! It’s a family owned business and everyone is from Korea but me. Everything is made in-house, my favorite is the kimchi! They make both radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi!

My daughter and I tried the BTS meal, I liked the Cajun Sauce better than the Chili Sauce. Too sweet! They should have put photo cards in them like when they did the Beanie Babies!!
McDonald’s celebrity meal is just a meal that a celebrity enjoys ordering. Prior to BTS meal, there was the JBalvin meal (Big Mac, fries with ketchup and an Oreo McFlurry), and before that was the Travis Scott meal (Quarter Pounder with Cheese, bacon and lettuce, a medium order of fries with BBQ sauce and a Sprite). For BTS, they chose the 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke; added for the first time in the U.S. were the Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces. At least that’s how it was explained in news articles.
@@Nana_UFC They are basically just using BTS or any celebrity to lure the fans. I did not fall for it as I saw that it was just a typical McNuggets meal with some kind of different sauces.

I’m pretty sure all Armies agree with you that there should have been some kind of free BTS merch in there. I think they missed the opportunity for more sales if they had included some kind of figurines or photo cards. I would have obsessively bought everything until I got them all.
I agree but then again, they have a lot of merchandise for sale already so are raking in the bucks anyways. I think they should have included something but of course not for free as they don’t want fans to buy but and then cash in. They want to cash in themselves.

My sister got the BTS meal. She never gets McDonald’s, and she asked for and extra bag for keepsake. It’s more of a fan thing. But I bet it’s better in countries in Asia instead of American McDonald’s
My local McDonalds here in Long Island, NY has a whole table and section dedicated to celebrating the BTS meal 😂 I wished we got the fancy purple packaging though.
It shows how little the band care about their fans. Two packet of sauces instead of Korean-style burger or fried chicken. Then, McD sells Rio Burgers again in Malaysia for no reason at all.

I have been a fan of Asian celebrities since the 80s way before Kpop and BTS existed and can tell you that I have seen many other celebrities that care even more for their fans. BTS does care for their fans but they are not the only ones.

I was also super underwhelmed by the BTS meal. I didn't know about it until I randomly went to McDs. I personally liked the sauces, but it's not a great representation of Korean food / culture.
It's just a collab meal of the guys' faves plus the sauces that are "inspired by the recipes from South Korea", not anything indicative of Korean culture b/c the sauces sure don't taste like anything Korean. If you remember the Travis Scott meal - collab b/t him and McD's - it's just a Quarter Pounder with cheese, lettuce and bacon, medium fries, and barbecue sauce. They just package foods together and call it a day.
As a Canadian, my friend, GF and myself had no idea what the BTS meal was all about... Here in Canada, it as simply a 10 piece nugget meal with fries and coke... And 1-2 ''special'' limited time sauces... That's not a special collab at all... Oh yeah the BTS logo(?) was plastered everywhere. But yes, ultimately, it was simply a 10 piece nugget meal...

I also live in Orlando and go to the Keys all the time. My suggestion is to stay overnight in Marathon or another key that is close to Key West. Key West is very expensive, but a pretty short drive from Marathon. Also, no need to spend money on the turnpike until you get to the Miami area. Until then, the turnpike is parallel to I-95.
People be sleep on Florida cuisine There’s so much variety and foodie culture is very intense Especially southern Florida There’s even a Greek community in the west coast in Florida somewhere Also people that come to south Florida should not just eat Cuban y’all should also eat Nicaraguan and Peruvian it’s so common and awesome and they fusion sometimes to creat amazing things This guy needs to try a Nicaraguan tamale ( Nacatamal) theyre so good There’s so much here that people miss out on

McDonald's got so lazy here in the states. I remember when the James Cameron movie AVATAR came out & McDonald's was promoting it. It was asked why McDonald's didn't release a special dedicated meal as part of the promotion. So, some McDonald's PR dude said something along the lines of just eat a Big Mac 'cause the sauce puts you in that special world PANDORA. I'm like what? You're lazy as all hell. I remember in the 1990's McDonald's had the burger of the week events & all. I hear McDonald's overseas is much better. They have interesting options on the menu. McDonald's in the states is weak sauce, lolz.
McDonalds in Australia not only has a full gourmet range of burgers but also a full on cafe.......cakes, brewed coffees of all different types....everything you'd expect from a proper cafe......Maccas in the US seems really lame by comparison.

Wait so does the American Mcdonalds not have some kind of seasonal specials? I always got upset that we only had like 2-3 seasonal specials in the Netherlands compared to other counties, but I guess it's better than nothing. We have the white chocolate raspberry mcflurry and the mango-passionfruit milkshake for the summer right now (no bts menu though...)
@@yukli3795 yeah, the McDonald's in the USA don't carry seasonal burgers or anything. Now, back in the 1990's, McDonald's listed specials regularly. I remember the Batman Meal which was promoting Batman Forever. The burger was a short hero & the meat had the logo engraved on it. I don't remember what it had but it had these different cheeses & some other stuff. This is when McDonald's made effort. Now, they're lazy as all hell @ least in the USA.
Orlando is a great food town, so many different cultures and types of food. It definitely deserves a longer visit. Fantastic Vietnamese, Korean, Cuban Puerto Rican and many other types of food once you get away from the tourist spots.
Ideas for McD's to make me feel like im eating a BTS meal: 1. Every meal comes with a member card ( collect them all get a free item next purchase or some kind of insensitive..u get what im trying to say) 2. The word meal implies something more than nuggies and fries like a sandwich/burger with side of fries and 6pc nuggies or whatever , even a BTS inspired dessert would have done..just a thought. So say for example a Korean bbq McRib or a korean chilli style burger etc with a side of fries and the nuggies with the sauces..then I wouldve been impressed. Seriously that would sell so fast considering BTS ARMY dont play..we Stan ....just a thought McD's🤷🏻♀️
I ordered the BTS meal before, and they didn't even have the sauces! I just got nuggets, fries, and my soda. MY family who came with me complained, and all they had was sweet and sour as well as honey mustard.

I was excited when I first heard about the McDonalds meal, until I heard about what it actually was. You've confirmed to me that I shouldn't bother. My favorite dipping sauce for Mcnuggets is the hot mustard, or even better, Chinese hot mustard. 😊
Mikey, I am also unimpressed with the BTS meal from McDonald's. Heard it's just in the United States that don't have a gift with the meal. The sauces also isn't special.

Great video!!! All the food look sooo goood! 🥰 Especially the ube bun! I never heard or saw that before and it looks soooo good and fluffy I would love to try that too! ☺️✨ I also tried the BTS meal and I also had the same reaction about the Cajun sauce! It taste a lot like mustard and other flavour mixed together and for the sweet chilli sauce I think they taste like the sauce you get from Cotsco with the frozen general tao, for example 😅 Let me know if I'm not the only one thinking like that! 😂 but I have to say that it was an excellent marketing strategy!

BTS meals chose fries and nuggets because it is available in 49 countries that can cater different kind of diets/religious belief ...I know they can do better but I love the reason why they chose it
My kids wanted the BTS meal. It was just chicken nuggets with some special sauce. The nuggets were fresh so it was good. The sauce was ok but nothing special. I don’t see what made this a BTS meal other than the bag said BTS 🤷♀️

There's a reason why the BTS Meal only consists of Chicken Nuggets, Fries and those two sauces. Might be wondering why they didn't include a Big Mac or any burger is because they considered other religions that can't eat certain meats which in this case, pork. So yeah just wanted to share that~
BTS meal is a huge fail. Only winner is the bland, stale Chicken McNuggets that somehow hasn't improved for decades. I can get better sauces at Chik-fil-A at a fraction of the heart risk
