I've gone to McDonalds about eight times since they got the kiosks. And each time I left with no food. One day I decided to go to three different McDonalds to see if I could get a kiosk to work and three times I couldn't. This includes all kiosks in each store. Each time I asked for help and they blew me off. I tried again yesterday (Plymouth and Nixon), again no success. I learned a long time ago that if a company doesn't want your money, you shouldn't try to force it on them.
More modifications are needed on the kiosks and mobile app. Such as say I want a mcdouble made like a mac. Mac sauce is not an option, but I can get it added for an extra charge when ordering from a live person. More modifications Mickyd's!
Created order but the option to complete the order was not on the screen. I selected the attendant help button but no one came over to assist me. Left and went to Jimmy John’s. Lewisville, TX location.
I came across one where the touchscreen was malfunctioning. I would select a quarter pounder with cheese and it would ask what kind of sauce I would like with the Chicken McNuggets. I just abandoned the kiosk and went to the counter. It's amazing that these kiosks have replaced 40% of the staffing at McDonalds.
@@krisyung It isn't the prospects of a megalomaniac AI that we need to be afraid of but of the AI's doing exactly what we want of them and displacing employment, especially entry level employment. However, my post has more to do with how poorly maintained the devices are and the complete lack of means to report malfunctions for repairs.
Walking up to the counter and ordering with a person is MUSH faster and more accurate. A lot more sanitary also. When you use the kiosk, you're exchanging germs with the previous 50 people that used it. On my last trip to McDonald's there was a couple punching away at the kiosk. I walked past them, placed my order, and received my food and they were still tapping away.
These things are really helpful for me considering I have autism and social anxiety. I am capable of ordering food without these kiosks but they make things so much easier for people like me.
Lmfao, my friend ordered 10 peanut packs since the condiments are free and then I tried with ordering vinegar ketchup and shit and a guy came up with nothing and asked me if my order was a joke and I said no, then he said have you finished your food looking at my tray and I said yes and he told me not to waste his time and almost got kicked out.
yes the cleaner wanted to fight me as wanted a happy meal called him ronald macdonald the clown and he threatened me with cleaning products so not going back there for friendly fast food as robots no compassion ?
Where can I get a system from like this I run a little horse box but do you loads of different stuff plus picking mixes and want an app like this so they can order and get a number
This is not new, Australia has had these for years. They also serve food to your table, served on a wooden plank with fries in a wire basket. Once again, America behind the times...
Gotta say, I love that you all love these things. I love the express line I get, when you all refuse human interaction. I love when I get my food, before you also. By someone smiling, thanking me. I smile back, and thank them also. What I find even more amazing is. You eat your food, right after touching these things. Poop, boogers and whatever else. From 100”s of people, you don’t know. All on the tip of your finger. Sounds yummy…Enjoy that!!
I walked out 10 + fast food places in town will let the people that enjoy the Kiosks system use the system i wont interfere with the people that enjoy using the system .
Thats not the solection on the screen I tried! Then each time I finished the order it would ask me for some code? What code? Then ecerything I had picked out would be gone. I had to began again! I tried to watch others; did you know people don't want you looking over their shoulders?! When I asked for help the associat came out adked me what I wantted; punched it in faster then I could see what he was doing. So I asked if he would teach mw. He turned and went back into the back. Apparently if you have a vusual problem and cant see fast enough they couldnt care less! Ohhhhhh 5 years ago! Got it!
Dislike. One McD didn't take orders or cash at counter.. Recently went to one for a big mac, screen asked heap of questions before finishing. Prefered the voice operated system of old, faster and took cash.
Well, the kiosks at McDonalds have reduced their staffing by 40%. I use the kiosks but I still pay cash at the counter. The kiosks do make it easy but reducing labor is not necessarily a good thing.
@@collusionjazz5520 // I'm not saying EVERYONE, but it will do away with a lot of jobs. They don't have to pay a machines health insurance, etc. Einstein.
Kiosks annoy me cuz people are taking their sweet time ordering. I miss workers with bad attitudes cuz you feel pressured to hurry the hell up with your order.
So Lowe's home Depot Walmart Target does kiosk cashier...so what McDonald's doing this now..the changes. But I like a actual cashier (person) better. Though ..self checkout different I guess.... changes
I have trouble speaking I stutter sometimes, this will help out alot of people. Rather than a cashier sometimes they don't even get your order correct or they have issues understanding me.
