Mcfarlane toys figures are perfect blank canvas for painting, fantastic work chris, i missed custom collectibles, i´d love to see you branch into hasbro too, there are some awsome black series and marvel legends figures that look 1000 better with a paintjob
@@bioraccoon9470 I know, but you saying your glad McFarlane took over makes me chuckle, because McFarlane has notoriously bad QC, paint, and articulation, all stuff Hasbro has actually gotten a lot better at
@@bioraccoon9470 they're available in stores, so they have to sell a large percent to kids And if they're supposed to be adult collectables they really ought to have better paint
@@bioraccoon9470 I'm not big on marvel figures, I don't own any. And I'd rather spend 95 bucks on a well articulated, well detailed, well painted figure of a character I care about than 4 McFarlane figures that are just so-so. To each their own of course, spend your money how you want.
Even though you barely added any paint to this figure, the slight work you did paint managed to seriously make all of the sculpted details pop in the best possible way! This Deathstroke action figure was already pretty awesome but that extra little bit of finite detail work completely changed the overall look into something truly incredible! I think what did it for me was that extra touch of silver you applied at the end, and of course the classic black shoe polish method never fails! Excellent job Chris! 👍🏻👍🏻😎
You gotta start doing more custom collectibles Chris more eyes on ya channel they’re amazing the original jakks pacific Batman will forever be the best
The funny thing is I never knew about this figure until I walked into the store kinda geeked out and got it right away thinking it's awesome but his custom is truly awesome
Chris, this looks amazing. Top notch! Deathstroke and Deadpool are my favorite characters and you nailed this by making it go from a cartoon like toy to a epic piece of art!
es increible lo facil que puede ser dejar estas maravillas de figuras aun mejor!! muchas gracias por tus consejos, estan precisos para dejar esta figura como una joya!!
Doing this exact thing right now, used shoe polish and just going to dry brush some silver over it then spray matte clear and done Also gave him a working holster and a posable orange/navy bandana
Dude, looks amazing. I bet if you could get your hands on the Mcfarlane DCEU Justice League figures, you could bring them up 1000%. That Aquaman NEEDS your help
I love your channel. I hope in the future you can start doing more custom collectibles and what not. And keep in detail like you do with all your videos.
Anyone here notice that he mess the blue side helmet with their silver dry brush paint? and he painted again with the blue metallic colour.... so many skipped step in here, i believe he add lil bit blue metallic after he did silver, but he never told us this step until done.
I'm looking at getti g the flash mcfarlane. Would love to see how you'd make that look. The only thing that puts me off their batman and superman is the rigid Cape.
Nice job on the figure, Chris. Something about that eye I don't like. Maybe if you sanded it down and painted it black like it was hidden by shadow. In other Deathstroke related news, Ron Perlman was/is perfect as the voice. I thought Manu Bennett (of Arrow) was perfectly cast for live-action, and the suit looked pretty good in that show, particularly the helmet. Apparently Bennett was trying to get his own Deathstroke series on the CW, he was pushing for it back in 2017 and even got the support of Deathstroke creator Marv Wolfman. While Arrow and it's spinoffs are not very good in my opinion (though Superman & Lois is decent), a Manu Bennett led Deathstroke show on HBO Max would be tight. As for Joe Manganiello (of Snyderverse), his role was basically a cameo so there's not much I can say about it yet.
I'm making Paul's DIY Jakks Pacific BvS Robin Suit Collectible inspired by the orignal Chris' Custom Collectible series. Go check his video tutorial it's awesome. Do a 31' version of it. I'm working on a 19' like Paul did
Quick question, how does the matte spray affect the mobility of articulation? Not sure I'd want to turn the figure into a statue as I do photography with them.
