I watch the Mcfarlane reviews for comedic value.

This is 100% consistent for McTodd if you remember he has built a career off of cutting corners. He started out cutting corners on plastic by using the cheapest brittle plastic possible and bare minimum articulation. Then he added articulation but then used as little paint as possible. Now he has figured out that he doesn't even need to make figures altogether by "adding" DIGITAL FIGURES. It's classic Todd.

These company has consistenrly been stepping back every year, from the quality,selection and price

That's his justification for these digital figures, but guess what? You have to buy the physical figure anyway! But if you live in Japan, where there's an entire city filled with toy shops, why would you buy Todd's shitty figures when you have access to *every* Japanese toy brand? Man dude, Mcfarlane SUCCS...

If this line wasn't the only DC line going on right now that's mass release (Mafex only has a few), nobody would bother with this line. And even that's not a true excuse. To not generalize McFarlane DC Multiverse, I will say there are some genuinely good figures in this line. Swamp Thing, Bane, the Arkham City Penguin, the AC Riddler, KF Batman, etc. When this line first began, the problems were proportions, character diversity and accessories. But at least they always had unique sculpts. Now they don't even have that. And character diversity does not consitute good figures. Everything about this line shows they really don't care anymore but try to pretend they do. I'd rather they not try then fake it. The gimmicks aren't working and it's alienating the fans. This figure and so many others they're releasing right now are just bait, I think. And I do avidly collect this line. I just know I would want another one if it was around lol. Ironically, Marvel Legends is on a better track rn

When these figures first got revealed I just went with it😂 Sure digital yet their physical ok, I picked up the Batman just cause I do like the design but this digital accessory/item is lame as hell🤣

I tried with this line. I think the 7 inch scale was a neat experiment but it’s far too big and inconsistent. There isn’t a single solid figure in this whole line. The best fig they released was Thomas Wayne Batman and it still has issues!

Girlfriend picked this one up for me and I can't complain. I didn't like the rebirth batman in black but this one isnt that bad in my opinion. I don't even understand what the digital tag is, I just thought it was like the page punchers or some shit being it's own thing but still multiverse. Couldn't care less about the digital stuff but I'll always take a blue batman. Definitely a figure I would have wanted as a kid as it seems better to play with rather than to pose it

The new Cassandra Cain Batgirl fig is pretty nice, i am diggin the range in her legs, they can come together very nicely, which some figs can't. Nice cape, I never scored the old DCSH or dc direct version, never wanted to pay 80-90 bucks so I am happy with this. I know that has nothing to do with this Batman fig in the review but I just opened the Cassandra while watching this. Her Batarang is too big of course though

This is great, since I’ve run out of room to display things on my shelves, I can now collect my figures digitally and sell off all that useless plastic. The future is here.

I bought the green lantern figure, and wanted to try out the digital NFT. Here I am expecting to get a GREEN lantern NFT and got an Orange one instead, like why?? Immediately lost all interest with digitals after that.

I got it because its batman and i liked it enough to get it but definitely not getting any other digital figures.

Speaking of the display stand, mine didnt even come with one.

I used to defend this line but no longer. Still want that classic looking wonder woman but she’s impossible to find at retail price which was already overpriced. I still dig their solid figures but they haven’t released anything that’s caught my eye in a hot minute. As a DC fanboy on a budget, frustrating.

QOTD: Nothing from Todd makes sense. The one Batman from MFT (I call them MFT because Todd got into the NFT craze because he’s stuck in the past) that I own is the Arkham Knight version. Unpainted accessories, can’t stand for crap, awful joints, way too buff when compared to the source material. The Comedian Joker can’t stand in neutral but he looks decent. Their Arkham Knight Scarecrow had no accessories yet felt appropriate for MFT: he looks fine when just standing still with the crap articulation. It is one of their best for a reason: it’s all the positive and negative for a MFT figure except he can stand in neutral pose.

As a primary DC Multiverse collector and I am waiting for this to be delivered... why did I watch this?😅 I knew it would be bad as the whole digital thing is ridiculous, the packaging doesn't match the figure... it gets worse and worse... and yet I still collect it!

Yeah...their branding can use A LOT of work. It seems like McFarlane, tried to get into NFTs, but did it way, way after the bubble burst? Kinda like what Neca tried with that one batch of figures they released.

Square Enix is doing a similar thing with their bring arts line, where they essentially sell you a digital version of the figure to go along with the physical product you bought It's really stupid since action figures are a physical thing and you can't really digitize that experience, it doesn't make sense lol McFarlane has to be the worst domestic figure company out of all the major ones, at least to me it feels that way. All the characters have weird proportions, lack accessories, have too many unnecessary variations, and generally lack the articulation, paint and joint quality even at their price point The only McFarlane figure I have is the Mortal Kombat 11 spawn because of your reviews lol

I really wanna like McFarlane, I like Todd and Spawn but it seems like every right product they do also needs to have some really dumb decision that could have been easily fixable

The original Rebirth one is much better. I know it's wonky proportions but the colors were better.

Oddly I do actually like this figure for some reason. Not sure why because none of it makes sense. Maybe because he makes me laugh. Those thunder thighs. Lol

I get the absurdity from my perspective, but Todd gave a kinda insightful response with the digital branding and its to give an extra thing for people with limited space. Especially in non US regions. I assume they don't have those type of distribution rights so these figures would be viewed as imports in those regions. I don't know. Its definitely different.

The only worth while Batman figures are the ones from the live action movies. Batman 89 is pretty good if you put the Mezco Keaton head on him and the Batman & Robin line probably McFarlanes best line to date.. period. So yeah.. 90s era Batman McFarlane figures are all I’m getting from that company. Bale ones aren’t bad either.

I saw this figure in my local Target. The first thing I noticed is two completely different faces. One is a young Bruce Wayne in his early 20’s and the other is some 40 year old guy with wrinkles. Know what pisses me off more about this digital label? McFarlane is still gonna use the stupid digital label on the upcoming Superman statue standing on the large eagle. A giant DIGITAL label is shitting all over the base stand.

I don't think so, Todd. This one is part of the DC Multiverse line. The only thing that is missing is a worthless collector card.

With the way figures are made these days you can see that the people responsible are probably taking extra days off, blowing girl on their office desk, and ok ing whatever needs their signature to go forward. Real high level industry stuff right? I collect Sofubi lawl. (=

The package is a mess, it’s a cluster$&!?. The mishmash colors, the random logos, the way you can’t tell what line it’s exactly supposed to be, the 10 different font sizes, nothing is centered, the wasted real estate on the back with a picture that doesn’t remotely represent what you’re buying, it sucks. As for McFarlane Digital, he’s trying to throw his hat into NFTs as the market collapses.

I have never been impressed with any of the DC figures from McFarlane, this is just bad on so many levels.

I can’t with these soft sculpts with these McFarlane figures smh These are comic book characters. They’re superheroes with well defined musculature that are supposed to look strong. Why do all of his superheroes look doughy with barely any musculature? Other superhero figures like Hasbro and Select have sculpted musculature. Even the old DC direct line had nicely sculpted bodies. Here there’s either just no muscle or barely defined. These don’t look appealing in the slightest. Having weird proportions doesn’t help either. DC fans deserve better.

McFarlane figures looking worse and worse. They used to look decent years ago (not like a kids toy) despite weird proportions and bad articulation. But now they look extra cheap too. Zero redeeming qualities.

To respond to the average McFarlane Toys fan: The company absolutely can do better and should be doing better. It doesn’t cost more to make good molds. Learn some basic human anatomy. Also, this digital figure stuff is possibly the worst thing I’ve ever seen from a toy company.
